Healthy regulation
I continued to focus on being aware of my emotions especially during situations with emotional tension. I remind myself of options versus being reactive in these moments.
Emotional Control
I focused my practice today around emotional control. Certain situations I struggle with remaining calm and being reactive. I identified three options in these situations during my practice, walking away from situations, remaining in the space using grounding and coping skills and or interjecting respectfully as long as I’m able while paying attention to my ability to remain in the space and using self care skills.
Reducing Emotional Reactivity
I focused on reducing emotional reactivity during my practice. I was watching sports and found myself emotionally buying into the situation getting really worked up. I know it’s not necessary and something I’m working to reduce.
Continued focus Inward
My work continues bringing intentional awareness inward. I love the calmness after breath work.
Body Awareness
Today I focused on building body awareness. I know how important the skills are and positive impacts the practice can lead to.
