Need urgent advice!
Gotta get a quote out tonight. Going to all be done with a mini ex and an fmx36. There's about 90 yards of a small creek, not more than 15 feet of width off the bank I need to clean up. How do I price that. Area is very small, but cannot get it with a skid and will be tedious. Any help appreciated but need asap!

Thanks for the reply! I had to get it out so I basically did an area calculation with the length times a width of 18 feet and plugged it into my calculator.

It's believe it or not pretty average on density.
Just getting started, but living my dream
I’m a starter. I just purchased and picked up my equipment. $0 is for my last 3 months. Have LLC and insurance set up. I just booked two jobs today. Looking to learn and grow my business.

Good for you man!
Help! Client has old fencing all over!
How do you address old t post and barbed wire fencing in a quote? Just tell the client it's his problem? Grapple it out and pile it for him? Hire a couple teenagers to pull it all by hand? Pretty small job (3 acres). How would you deal with it. This is my first bid btw.

Welcome to OWNR OPS 🤝 The mission here is simple: Help land clearing & forestry mulching owner‑operators build 7‑figure businesses with real systems. We've built a real operating system that turns Operators into OWNRS — and we're sharing it inside the Classroom Section to help you grow your own business 🤝 I'm going to outline your next steps so you can get the most out of this group based on where you're at right now. 1. What stage of business are you right now? Inside OWNR OPS we split people into three stages: - Starter – guys starting out doing $0–$20k/month - Operator – Doing roughly $20k–$80k/month - OWNR – $80k–$100k+/month with systems This group is built to move people up that ladder. 2. There are two paths inside this group If you’re a Starter (0–$20k/month): Your job is to use the Free Classroom Trainings to build a solid base. Go to the Classroom and complete OPS Kickstarter. This will help you: ✅ Dial in your pricing ✅ Set up your basic lead gen system ✅ Start closing jobs ✅ Build your basic weekly rhythm Use the tools and trainings in here to get yourself into that $20k–$40k/month Operator band. Once you’re there, we can talk about Accelerator. If you’re an Operator ($20k–$80k/month): This is who OPS Accelerator is built for. Go to the OPS Accelerator – Info lesson in the Classroom. I’ll walk you through the 16‑week implementation plan to install the OWNR Operating System in your business. If it sounds like what you need, fill out the application linked under that lesson or click here ➡️ https://www.ownrops.com OPS Accelerator is a paid, high‑touch program for Operators who are serious about moving toward 7 Figures Annually (or $80k–$100k+ months during busy season) with real systems and support. What to do right now: - Pick your stage (honestly) in the poll below: Starter, Operator, or OWNR - Follow the path above. - Use the free trainings, tools, and community. - When you’re ready for help building the full OWNR system, apply for OPS Accelerator

Hi all! 1. My name is Brian. 2. I am planning a forestry mulching/ land improvement business. 3. I will offer mulching, grapple work, and power raking. 4. I'm in Tennessee. 5. Need help with startup, but with special circumstances (see below). 6. Since I'm brand new, I don't really know what I have to offer, but I'm eager to help in any way I can. So my situation is this: I have a full time job that is what most people would say is very lucrative. I like doing it. It has basically removed any obstacle to entry for me into the outdoor work space, except the time to do it in. Over the last few years, and much more so recently, I've accumulated basically a full complement of useful assets to enter the business. I originally picked them up to maintain a farm I own. They include: -F650 crew dump truck with a staked bed (perfect to load a mulcher and grapple on) -Brand new Cat 265 XPs -Brand new Shearex HM60 -Really nice Kubota root grapple -Barely used Takeuchi TB260 -Barely used Fecon FMX36 -only thing I lack is a power rake. What I want is to build a business alongside my primary profession, and that's the real challenge. I've got all the stuff a man could ask for, but not a lot of time to use it. Quality is very important in my primary job, and would be equally important in this endeavor. Would love guidance on how to get from here to there and do it right. Thanks so much for hosting a space where I can ask questions.

Thanks for the quick reply Austin. That's a great question. At a minimum I'd like be just beyond the $20k per month mark with a dependable manager and steady work coming in. In a perfect world I'd have a second crew and machine touching $50k a month. It's a very rudimentary goal, but I think it's good to put a pin in something. I'm hoping being here will help equip me to get there.
Facebook Ads just launched!
I just launched my first real FB ad campaing. Prior to today I had only boosted posts before. The campaign is based on what I learned from watching the OWNROPS Facebook Flywheel video. Here's one of the 3 ads I'm running now: https://fb.me/adspreview/facebook/1Sv23uk6k80LcL3 Fill out the Instant Form if you have a second, you'll be helping me test the backend :-) Additional things I learned in the process of making these ads and getting the campaign going: - There are far too many ad formats on FB/IG, some with very different effects on your ad video - If you're only going to use one video resolution make it 1440x1800 as that will work with all of the FB/IG ad formats - Text placement in your video matters a lot. Some of the formats cover up lower and upper parts of your video and you don't want it to interfere with your video text. - I need a somewhat nicer microphone for recording voiceovers, my phone did not do a very nice job and I spent tons of time trying to make it sound better. - Test your sound out on a desktop but also on a phone, different speakers can have very different sound qualities - You can easily send your incoming leads into a Google Sheet, I find this very useful since I use Sheets as the basis for my customer tracking. - There is no built-in notification system for incoming leads from the Instant Forms! I kinda found this shocking. It's meant to plug into a CRM of some sort. I still need to sort out what I want to do about this. (Yes I know, zapier/jobber/copilot/etc) :)
