Hey community, so happy I made it here! I'm Brian, 30 years old (phew! finally my favorite age) and currently living in Germany. I played 2 years of classics when I was 14 years old, then I shifted to Flamenco for another 2 years when I was ~18, but I wanted something else, so a few years later I did some self learning electric guitar through old books when I was 24. Now it's been 2 years since I started practicing metal in a more serious fashion. So you can expect that I never had any real improvements because of inconsistency in practice. But hopefully I can say that ever since I made myself a better life and so far I've seen better practicing habits and improvements. Feel free to watch me playing a song: https://youtube.com/shorts/VQ0g3tmVKjc So I'm skilled enough to play a few songs but still I don't look like a professional player, clearly because the way I practiced guitar was very wrong! Having almost 2 years of experience with private tutors and courses, I found Jon's videos valuable the most! You read it right, I did quit my previous private course so that I can continue with my own speed, but this time with Jon! I'm not interesting in having a band or playing on stage, but still I want to play professionally. So I'm trying to get better in every aspect, specially sweep picking and accurate finger positioning. I can't wait to share videos of my improvements and watch you sharing yours! Keep rocking everyone! \m/
