Welcome to Plane Speech ✈️ I started flight training in my 40s, with a professional career outside of aviation, real responsibilities, and many misconceptions of what I thought a pilot was supposed to be. After completing flight training, I realized there’s a huge gap between people who are in aviation and people who are curious about it. Plane Speech is about: - Honest discussions from going through flight training later in life (or at any age) - What aviation actually looks like - Clear explanations without aviation jargon - Practical advice for beginners - The mental, financial, and lifestyle realities of flight training - Common myths about who can (and can’t) become a pilot If aviation—or any big goal—has ever felt out of reach, you’re in the right place!
