I’m deleting zwift
Ok folks, bold move. I’m deleting zwift and upgrading to training peaks premium which includes virtual. Anyone have similar thoughts ? I’m nervous 🤣

I struggle with Zwift more for the fact that I don’t believe it’s good for training. Though I am a part of a race team and I do have a lot of fun with them, they are detrimental to my plan. Group rides can be motivating, but again the spikes or coasting out of particular training zone are real. For me the best time to zwift is after my structured intervals and then the race is just what it is.

@Anthony Walsh yes, I have been doing structured workouts on Swift as of late, I do appreciate them. I have not figured out a way to see my previous laps (like, what was my average power for that previous interval? ). I would also like to be able to click the lap button like I can’t on my head unit.

Unfortunately, I won’t be able to be on the call, but I do have a question regarding Hexis. If I do my workouts at 6 AM and have a meal scheduled for 5:15 AM. Should it be a pre-workout snack or a breakfast? Recognizing that my workout might be 3+ hours so a pre-workout seems too light in calories, but yet breakfast seems too heavy on the fats and proteins. I may be one of those rare cases that can eat 1000 cal of pancakes minutes before getting on the bike

@Anthony Walsh What in the world did you do to yourself that you’ve been injured and off the bike? In my experience, sometimes injuries equal force time off, and I come back stronger. Hoping the same for you.
Sunday 🏆 Weekly Wins Recap | Jan 19- Jan 25
How was your week!? Last full week of January already. Still doesn’t feel like it’s 2026 to me. Been pretty busy but nothing too exciting from me this week really. Caoimhe landed back the other day and got the first half of her Assos kit (as well as everything else). Some amount of stuff as you can see from the photo. I was trying to add it up but I’d say the total valuation of everything in that photo isn’t too far off 40k (they don’t get to keep the bike but they keep everything else at the end of the year). New bike isn’t meant to be on show you yet as it’s the new unreleased frame - nothing too obvious in terms of updates from what I can see. But that’s the reason for scribbling it out 🤣 It’s the bike that they are all riding and racing already but don’t want her getting in trouble in case. It’s a bit stupid to me that they’ve been given the 2027 model but cannondale haven’t announced it yet. Makes it so underwhelming to me when they do actually decide to announce it. But sure look. Hope you had a good week! Matthew

I actually respected a rest week. Now I’m chomping at the bit.
Come Zwift with the Roadman group!
Come Zwift with us! Bear with me if you encounter a problem, as this is my first time attempting this. But this Saturday at 9:30 CST in the U.S.A, which is I THINK GMT-6 currently, we are having a Roadman NDY meetup on Zwift. It's a great way to chat and pass the time. Here's the details: You'll need to be signed up on Zwift, obviously, and have joined the Roadman Coaching club. Link here. We will be able to chat during the ride. You will need Discord and headphones with mic. You can join the Roadman group via this link. Set your mic to muted or push to talk. The ride will be rubber-banded. That means it doesn't matter if you're doing Vo2 max intervals or zone one, you stay attached to my slow self. You can join up to 30 minutes late and get dropped right into the group. You can leave anytime you like. Saturday's route will be the Innsbruck KOM after party, since it's on the Tour de Zwift. If no one is signed up by Saturday evening, I will probably bail and join a different group. I'll be Zwifting Sunday too, though later in the day but a couple hours or so. If there's interest, I'll happily set up a group ride then. If you have questions , fire away.
