New video: The Harsh Truth About Door-to-Door Sales 🚪
Just dropped a new one on YouTube, and it's all about the mindset side of knocking doors. After almost 10 years of knocking, here's what I've learned. It's not about having the perfect pitch. Two reps can say the exact same words, and one gets leads while the other gets nothing. The difference is conviction, meaning whether you actually believe you're helping that homeowner. In the video I get into: • Why belief has to come before confidence • How to cherrypick houses that actually need the work • How one or two wins can flip your whole mindset • Why D2D skills carry over into every business you'll ever run Watch it here: https://youtu.be/_d5s-QyGaZ4 Drop a comment after you watch. What's the hardest part of knocking doors for you right now: the rejection, staying consistent, or knowing what to say? 👇

Rainy days aren’t days off.
Rainy days aren’t days off. They’re the days leaks show up, jobs get delayed, customers call with problems, and the plan falls apart. That’s when the real work starts. Anybody can push when the sun’s out. The ones who win show up in the rain — take charge, make the adjustments, and fix what’s broken so the sunny days (and the Happy Days) are actually better. Don’t wait for perfect weather. Go make it happen.

Hey Connor, I know it's a little late since you've actually written this out but having a good CRM like Housecall Pro or Jobber is typically my preferred method as it allows you to keep track of all your customers' information. You can select payments through it, send on-the-way text messages, job schedule, job finished, etc

My Business Is Starting To Gain Traction
Yesterday I went out door knocking at a much earlier time than I usually do. The problem is that many, if not most of the neighborhoods in my area that are ideal for knocking doors for gutter cleaning jobs are “No Soliciting” HOAs. It’s also required by law in Florida to have a solicitors permit (which by my understanding is only good for one year before you have to pay the fee again — I can’t afford that right now). I was able to secure 1 job for next week, 1, potential job for January and got 2 other leads. Emailed or texted these folks a quote PDF. I am also putting together a bid for a bigger job, which is centered mostly around gutter and drainage repairs (never done gutter repairs before). Some exciting stuff! But all of this to say that the glory belongs to God for supplying the work and leads!

It's actually out making some things happen ing and creating a little bit of progress. I wouldn't put a ton of emphasis on the permits and they're usually pretty cheap to get in my experience. But most people will not actually uphold the ball when it comes to door knocking. But obviously do what makes you feel most comfortable.
