@Marsha Vacca You would laugh at me Marsha, I just got back from installing a battery in a neighbors car to help them out (long story but elderly). I'm supposed to be in the computer field and I seem to be migrating to your field of work. Is this a career change? 🤣

Oh, and that's after bringing another neighbor (who's 78 and suddenly has horrible back pain) ... 3 different types of homemade soup I made ... which she loved. Look at me ... caregiver, mechanic, and cook! 🤣🤔🤯
How confident do you feel making care-related decisions?

I would have really picked "Mostly confident" if that was a choice. I'm always giving advice and usually it is correct (even to myself). Just yesterday I saw my doctor and told her the change I made to my prescription amount. She said "That's what I would have done" 💥 and today talking to her a suggested to check in with her after x days and she agreed that would be perfect. Do I always follow my own advice? Heck no! I know I should only eat healthy and I mostly do ... but I don't think the slice of Costco Pizza I had for breakfast falls into that regiment. 🤔🤣 Nevertheless, I give plenty of advice to others and if they follow it they usually find I was correct. Of course, as @Anna Murrietta pointed out, people don't always give you all of the details, so your recommendations and care can never be 100%.
What's Harder Right Now?
Wherever and whatever you maybe doing right now as a family caregiver, what seems the hardest part of caregiving? Remember - vote and feel free to add your comments on this post as you may have something quite different that is the hardest part for you.

Since I'm not taking care of anyone I can't vote, but wow, they all seem so hard to deal with. Not knowing the future would certainly be tough as it encompasses everything.

Hi Everyone! Although I don't have someone to take care of right now, it's always best to learn from others before you're thrown into a situation you're not ready for. I live in a condo complex in Denver, and many of my neighbors are over 70. I end up helping them a lot (in fact today, I'm picking up our 78 year old neighbor from the airport. She can do it on her own, but she's coming in from Palm Springs (lucky girl) and didn't bring a coat for the current 15 degree temperature during this cold front, ... and doesn't want to stay waiting outside for an Uber, etc. I don't blame her!). Yet all of my 70+ neighbors are active and function better than me at times! 🤣 @Marsha Vacca is always wonderful to see and talk to ... and has a lot of experience with real caring behind her thoughts and actions. Such a wonderful woman! That's my story, now off to the airport .... ✈
