Help - Slack Permissions for N8N
Hi all, I'm sure that somebody here can help me. I'm building an Agent that I want to integrate to our company's Slack instance. I've created it and everything is running fine... for me. But when anybody else in the company tries to chat with the agent, Slack is not triggering the notification to my N8N webhook. I'm sure this is a Slack permissions problem. I'm installing my Slack app as an agent, so users will not communicate to it with an @mention, but instead by talking it in a thread. What scopes/events do I need to set so that it works with all users in my company and not just me? Thanks in advance Brent

@Sumeyye Bozkus Hi there, we are on the "Pro" plan.
🚀New Video: AI Agents: What 99% of Beginners Get Wrong
For a deeper discussion on workflow architecture, let's chat here. AI agents are powerful, but here’s the problem—most people are using them when they don’t need to. If your process is deterministic, predictable, and follows a set of structured steps, then an AI workflow is almost always the better option. In this video, I break down the key differences between AI workflows and AI agents, why forcing an agent into a simple process is a mistake, and how switching to a workflow can make your automations cheaper, more consistent, and more scalable. I’ll also show real examples in n8n where I initially built an AI agent, only to realize that a workflow could do the job better.

Thats interesting, I came to exactly the same conclusion yesterday.... I was solving a problem and started with one agent with 2 tools.... but then after watching your video on 4 agentic frameworks from a month ago, I immediately re-designed the workflow to utilise 3 specific LLM steps with separate prompts each doing different analysis. The results were so much better.
Just joined. Who’s working with structured data?
Hi there Just joined this group. Keen to learn from and explore all things AI automation. I’m blown away at how fast I can build apps using tools like N8N and Lovable. I’m particularly interested in exploring approaches for analyzing and visualising large datasets (mainly single normalised tables) using natural language. Has anybody got a great solution working well? Thx in advance BP
