Life/Business advice from my Grandfather
Little backstory to my grandfather. His dad died when he was 21 soon after that he took over his dads business which was mobile homes, he then transitioned into the marina business where he was able to scale to a multi million dollar business that's still going on today. Unfortunately he passed before I was old enough to pick his brain about being a business owner but I remember him telling me one thing that always stuck with me. He told me if I ever decide to go down the route of building something on my own I need to "Have fire in my stomach" because he explained there will be times where it feels everything is falling apart and as long as you have that going for you, you can work through anything in this world.

so true. you have to have grit. you can't fall for the trap of chasing the next shiny object that you think is going to make you more money. Cause the truth is that too comes with issues.
Start Here
Welcome to Flounder to Founder!! We are so excited for you to join our group! Here is what to do in your first 24 hours: 1. Make your first post- Introduce your self to the group we want to get to know who you are! Here is a format if you don't know what to say. "Hi, I'm (your name), I am at (this spot in my entrepreneur journey), the goal is to (your goal... duh). And something I enjoy outside of this business world is (Tell us you hobby it can be anything, maybe you like to beat the ender dragon, or like to run). " Then finally add a picture of your desk set up. If you don't have desk that is fine, it could be just your bed and a laptop... this is a judgement free zone. 2. Comment on 3 posts that you like! Some guidelines to follow: 1. Give more than you take- the best communities are the ones that contribute the most. It is fine to ask questions but post some of your wins, your failures, lessons learned, what you are currently pursuing. All of these add value to the group that everyone can benefit from. 2. NO SELF PROMOTIONS- We are here to learn, grow, and build relationships. THIS IS NOT THE PLACE TO SELL. If you pitch, I will toss you. Pitch definition: it results in you collecting money from someone in this group... 3. Be yourself- Be authentically you, this doesn't not always have to revolve around business, get to know each other. Share your hobbies, go play Fortnite together or whatever. 4. Be Respectful- Everyone starts somewhere, it doesn't matter if you are 5 years in of 3 days into your journey, we all have something to learn. Lend a hand when ever possible. 5. Help Each Other- the best way to get results here is to contribute and engage. Enough said, We are glad you are here. Time to put in the work! Brennan
