I have been on disability since I was 53. Starting on 8-1-26, they are switching me to regular retirement. I heard you talk about IEDS and have an appointment with the SS office on 8-13-26. I’m confused, my ex is an electrical engineer and has been for 45 years. He’s 64 and not collecting yet. Do they take his PIA, subtract mine ( which I know is extremely lower than his) and then bring my payment closer to his?
