We Did It — Gardeners in All 50 States! Now Let’s Grow Together!
We’ve officially bloomed in every state across the country! 🌸🎉The Potted Garden Society now has members in all 50 states — from sunny patios in California to cozy porches in Maine. This is such a proud moment for our growing garden family — and it’s just the beginning. 🌿💚 What does this mean for you? It means there’s likely a fellow container gardener in your state — someone who’s dealing with the same weather patterns, growing the same seasonal plants, or maybe even shopping at the same garden center! Now we want to help YOU connect with fellow gardeners in your own area! 👉 We’ve just launched a new category: “Gardeners Near Me”. Inside, you’ll find (or can start!) a thread just for your state or region. It’s a space to: - Swap tips on your local weather and planting timelines 🌦️ - Recommend nurseries, soil mixes, or garden centers 🌼 - Share photos of what’s growing near you 🪴 - Organize casual meetups, seed swaps, or coffee chats ☕ - Just say hello to a nearby green thumb 👋 🗺️ Want to see who’s around you? Use the Member Map (top center of our page) to zoom in and see fellow gardeners within 10–15 miles. 🎯 Your next step: 🪴 Start a state-specific thread in the group if there isn't one started yet. Use the "[Your State] Gardeners" format in the title so others from your area can find and join the conversation easily! (EX: Kentucky Gardeners) 🤝 Organize or ask about local seed swaps, plant cuttings, or meetups. Even a casual coffee chat at a local nursery could spark new friendships. 📸 Post photos of what’s growing in your containers this month. Tag your region or state — it’s fun to see what’s thriving where! 🌦️ Talk weather! Share what's blooming and what challenges you're facing — frost warnings, heat waves, or surprise blooms. 🛍️ Share regional gardening tips and suppliers. Favorite nurseries, soil blends that work best locally, deals on pots — all are gold for local gardeners! 👉 Together, we’ll grow deeper roots — not just as gardeners, but as a nationwide community connected by soil, seeds, and a whole lot of passion. 💚🌿
