I like to start from the beginning. I enjoy letting the story unfold to me as I’m writing; sometimes I don’t know what’s going to happen until it happens 😄. A friend of mine jumps around with her stories, usually writing from the climax, then back to the beginning, then finishing. So I was just curious what everyone else’s preference is. 😊

This girl is making 18K a month selling her books by using TikTok to market them. This is a phenomenal video. No fluff, straight to the point, exactly what she does and how she does it. Definitely worth watching.

🌟Big shoutout to Brandon Rhee 🌟 He introduced me to Heinlein's Five Rules of Writing, and I thought they were too good not to share. These are simple yet important rules to live by as a writer aiming to make real money from your work. Heinlein argued that if you follow these procedures strictly, you will eventually find publishing success. 1. ✍️ You must write. You cannot simply talk about writing or take classes; you have to put words on the page. 2. 🏁 You must finish what you start. A piece is useless if it sits abandoned on your desk. 3. 🔒You must refrain from rewriting except to editorial order. Heinlein believed beginners learn more by starting a brand-new story than by endlessly polishing old ones. 4. 📫 You must put it on the market. You cannot be a professional writer if you keep your manuscripts hidden. 5. 💰You must keep it on the market until sold. Keep submitting your work to publishers repeatedly until it finds a buyer. (Or in modern terms, self-publish and continue to market your work until you find your buyers) Which of Heinlein's five rules are you already following, and which one do you struggle with the most? Mine is probably Rule #2. 😅

"I’d say start publishing your work online and showing it to people even if it’s not ready or perfect. I spent years writing short stories and trying to get my sentences just right. I rarely showed them to anyone, and I didn’t get the feedback I needed to improve as a writer. Instead, I stuffed my drafts in a drawer.
