The first picture is in Zinapecuaro. Which is a pueblo near Morelia, Michoacán, Mexico. A community of mostly Maíz farmers. Its where my Dad is from. And without question, he's been the biggest influence on my life. He didn't teach me success through books, courses, or motivational speeches. He taught me that your word is all you got. Take pride in your work. And never, under any circumstances, quit. Simple lessons. Taught by a simple man. A man with an 8th-grade education who built a life worth learning from. With a background like that, he still managed to build a life here in America. From sleeping on dirt floors to owning two homes. But he didn't do it to impress anyone. He did it for my mom, who deserves her own post for everything she taught me. And he did it for me and my brothers. Everything I've accomplished is built on the foundation he gave me. I'm grateful for that every single day. That's also why I've never been driven by flash, hype, or trying to impress people. Have I experienced the good life? Absolutely. But none of that is what drives me. I started a business because I wanted the freedom to do what I want, with the people I care about. One of my favorite things in the world is spending time with my niece and nephew. No car, watch, house, or material thing could ever replace that. The joy they bring me is hard to put into words. And the older I get, the more I realize that's what success was really about all along.
