I Like claude pro. I use it for what Lewis is teaching but I mainly use it for writing. You can actually switch the LLM you use on there to one of the local Ollama models. Chatgpt is getting loads better over the last couple months. Ultimately, it if you have something already that you are paying for that you like you can get it to work. Don't feel that you have to spend extra money to get Claude, but if you have 20$ a month you can use on claude then it is totally worth it. You could also look at Perplexity, it has a similar option for the same price point but has a lot more models to choose from. I like Perplexity but it can be expensive if you get into the Max plan and it is easy to get carried away.
