Hi mamas. Iâm Brandi. Iâm a mom with anxiety, ADHD, BPD, and trauma â which basically means my nervous system is permanently set to âwhat the hell is happening?â Some days Iâm crushing it. Some days Iâm dissociating while making chicken nuggets and wondering how I got here. I created Mental Health Mamas because Iâm tired of spaces that act like love, gratitude, or a morning routine will magically cure a fried brain. I love my kid with my whole soul and sometimes feel completely overwhelmed, overstimulated, and emotionally wrecked. If that offends anyone â this probably isnât their space. Here, we donât pretend motherhood healed us. We donât shame coping mechanisms that keep us alive. We donât tell each other to âjust breatheâ like that fixes trauma. Some of us are thriving. Some of us are barely functioning. Most of us are oscillating wildly between the two. You donât need to be inspirational here. You donât need to be okay. You donât even need to talk. You just need to exist â and thatâs enough. If youâre exhausted, overstimulated, emotionally complicated, and still showing up for your kids anyway⌠welcome. Youâre in the right place đ¤.
