How Do I Stop Spending So Much?
Ever since my business took off and I started making over $14K a month, my spending has skyrocketed. At first, it felt justified.....I was investing in my business, upgrading my lifestyle, and rewarding myself for the hard work. But now, I’m realizing that I might be spending too much, too fast. It’s not that I’m struggling, but I’m starting to wonder if I’m being reckless. I find myself spending on things I don’t necessarily need, just because I can. The discipline I had with money before seems to be slipping, and I want to get back on track before bad habits take over. I know financial growth is about not just earning more but managing it wisely. For those who have scaled their income, how do you keep your spending in check while still enjoying the rewards of your success? I’d genuinely love to hear your advice. 🙏 If you'd prefer to message me privately with your advice, feel free to reach out here....I’m much more active on here https://shorturl.at/GZMJl

A simple rule that helps: do not let every increase in income immediately become an increase in lifestyle. Create the structure first. Decide what percentage gets set aside for taxes, savings, reinvestment, and personal spending before the money hits your account. Then you can enjoy the rewards without making every purchase a case-by-case decision. More income gives you options. Structure protects those options from becoming habits you did not choose intentionally.

Introduce Yourself! (Start Here - Please Read 👀 )
Welcome to Community Builders. You are now entering a hidden oasis on the internet for contentpreneurs who want to achieve financial freedom through building a profitable online community. Here's EXACTLY what to do first: Step 1: Introduce yourself below using this Copy/Paste Template: What's your nickname? Where you from? Biggest strength? Biggest weakness? Which content platform is your favourite? What do you want immediate help with inside of this community? Step 2: Invite a friend. The most successful members of this community have friends that keep them accountable and excited to continue growing and learning. Step 3: Read the best practices below. ------- Best practices in this community: • NO Cold DM's. Do not DM anyone pitching your services. You will be banned. • Try to level up quickly by commenting and posting your insights in the community. • Hit 'Like' 👍 on every helpful post or comment you see to help others level up. • When you write a post, break up your paragraphs into single sentences like I am doing now - this way more people will read what you write, and actually reply. • Make sure your profile picture is a photo of you. • Be cool. • If you ever get stuck, feel overwhelmed, are not sure what 'next step' to take, just ask the community. ------ Group Rules: 1) No Self Promotion (This will get you blocked, deleted and banned) 2) No Selling in the DM's (This will get you blocked, deleted and banned) 3) No Spamming the Community Feed (This will get you blocked, deleted and banned) 4) No making posts saying: "Comment below with ___ and I'll it to you!" or "Send me a DM with the word __ and I'll give it to you"

@Jared Orr alright, I have to ask. What's the story behind "Toaster Boy"?

That is a completely earned nickname, @Jared Orr .
My community looked dead for 3 weeks
Nobody posting. Maybe 2 comments total. I was checking stats every day like an idiot. Then a coach I work with messaged me - she'd been reading every post but didn't feel ready to jump in yet. Turns out 4 other members felt the same way. They were all lurking, waiting to see if people actually responded to stuff before they posted. Once one of them finally commented, the others followed within a few days. Anyone else notice lurkers suddenly activate out of nowhere?

@Cameron Hunt you mentioned "read counts". Are you talking about a read count for how many people have viewed a post in your community? If so, how did you find that data?
🙉 Just finished watching Ted Car's journey and I’m beyond inspired 🌟
Here’s a guy (@Ted Carr ) who went from zero to next-level success by applying a mindset and strategies most people overlook. 💡Here’s what truly struck me 💡: 1️⃣ Deliberate Law of Attraction Ted isn’t waiting for success to find him. He uses the Law of Attraction intentionally, acting as if he’s already living his dream life—he’s been doing it since childhood, with soccer, triathlons, and beyond. 🛠️Lesson: Feel it, act it, and watch your reality shift. Success starts in your mind. 2️⃣ Don’t Overthink—Just Plan Ted doesn’t obsess over following his plans exactly. He believes in planning for planning’s sake—setting goals, but knowing things will change along the way. 🗺️Lesson: Have a plan, but be ready for the adventure that comes with it. 3️⃣ Proximity is Power Success multiplies when you're in the right rooms. Ted invested in proximity to powerful people, and it paid off massively. Joining @Sam Ovens’ Skool wasn’t just an investment—it was his gateway to the right connections and mindset. 🤝Lesson: Surround yourself with winners. That’s how you level up. 4️⃣ Focus on Building a Community, Not Just Selling The magic of Skool isn’t just in the content; it’s in the community. Ted grew his business by building a space where his audience actively promotes and sells for him. 🎯Lesson: People want connection, not just content. Build a community where people help each other succeed. 5️⃣ Don’t Go It Alone—Find a Partner Ted realized the solopreneur myth was holding him back. The breakthrough came when he partnered with someone who helped him scale, creating true freedom. 🚪Lesson: You need a team. Partnerships and delegation unlock growth. ♾️ WHY THIS RESONATES Ted's story reminds me that success isn’t about being the smartest or the most talented—it’s about: - Taking action (even when you're not ready). - Surrounding yourself with the right people. - Being willing to learn, fail, and keep pushing.

This point about proximity stood out to me as well. 🗝️ The right room does more than give you access to successful people. It exposes you to better questions, higher standards, and ways of thinking that are difficult to develop in isolation. But I think proximity becomes most valuable when you enter the room looking for ways to contribute, not simply extract information or collect contacts. The strongest relationships usually grow from being useful, curious, and genuinely interested in what other people are building. I’ve recently started putting more attention back into Skool, and I’m looking forward to getting to know more of the builders here. If anyone is interested in catching a virtual cup of coffee, hit me up. ☕
