We’ve had five lovely new faces join Arcana & Insight recently, so please help me give them a very warm welcome! And, of course, I have a question for each of you so we can get to know you a little better... ⭐ @Desirae Peral I love that you’re exploring different kinds of energy work and allowing positive, light-filled energy to guide you! Since you’re experimenting and discovering what calls to you, what kind of energy or spiritual practice are you most curious to explore next? ⭐ @Gabriela Villarino Welcome, Gabriela! I love that you describe yourself as having a heart for service, alongside your experience in both real estate and the legal field. What brought you into this community, and what are you hoping to explore while you’re here? ⭐ @Renato Dias It was such a pleasure meeting you in person at Waterstones, Renato, and now having you join us here too! You mentioned being on a path of self-discovery and spiritual growth, with peace and love at the heart of it. What has been opening up for you lately on that journey? ⭐ @Kelly Neuman Kelly, you’ve left us with a little mystery with simply “I’m Kelly” in your profile, so I’m taking that as permission to ask more! What brought you to Arcana & Insight, and what would you most love to explore or learn while you’re here? ⭐ @Valerie D. Welcome, Valerie! I already know two things: vegan + cat mom, which feels like a pretty fabulous introduction! Tell us about your cat (or cats!)and what sparked your interest in joining a Tarot and intuitive community? 🎉 🥳 And since we’ve officially hit 50 members, let’s celebrate the Tarot way! Please give our five newest members some love in the comments, and if you have a Tarot or Oracle deck nearby, pull a card for the community and share what you get! (I’m looking at you, @Dan Mott, with that new deck that keeps giving you the King of Swords! ⚔️)

Hello, lovely Skoolers! I’ve been a little quieter on the Skool screen over the past few days because I’ve been stepping away from the laptop and into some in-person events here in London! And what a weekend it has been. I wanted to pop in, say hello, and share a few updates on what I’ve been up to… 1️⃣ Six HOURS of Tarot at Waterstones! 📚 🃏 On Friday, September 25, I had the absolute honour of reading Tarot at Waterstones Gower Street in London, right near the Birkbeck and UCL campuses. If you’ve never been, it is an incredible bookshop, and you are practically guaranteed to get lost in there! I ended up reading for six hours back-to-back, mostly for university students, and met so many incredible souls along the way. A special shout-out to @Patience Chigodora, @Bose Giwa , and @Donglong Jiang for their support. Also, another shout-out to @Renato Dias, who discovered us through the event and has now joined us here on Skool! (A separate welcome is in the works after this, Renato!👋) And there’s more to come at Waterstones… I’ll now be hosting a monthly Deck by Deck Club, which will be a little like a book club but instead of unpacking books, we’ll be unpacking different Tarot and Oracle decks together: their artwork, symbolism, structure, history and, of course, how they actually read in practice. More on THAT very soon… 2️⃣ Womb Wisdom 🌙 🃏 Then on Saturday, September 26, I joined forces with the lovely @Patience Chigodora, with support from @Bose Giwa and @Donglong Jiang , for something completely different: Womb Wisdom: Tarot & The Waters Within. We gathered with a small, intimate group to explore healing, the maternal, our inner worlds and our relationship with ourselves through five Tarot cards:

Fancy a little Tarot tonight? I’m popping into Danielle Freeman’s Embodied Intuitive Academy this evening for a FREE Tarot Taster, and you’re invited! This is a chance to experience a short live reading with me. Bring ONE question, something you would like a little clarity, perspective or illumination around, and we’ll see what the cards have to say. 📅 Thursday, September 17 at 9:00 PM UK / 4:00 PM ET 🃏 One question 💛 Completely FREE A huge thank you to @Danielle Freeman from Embodied Intuitive Academy for hosting me and opening the session up to the Arcana & Insight community too. You’ll find the event and Zoom details in the Calendar. Come curious. Bring your question. And perhaps the cards will give you a little nudge tonight!

Today, September 9, marks the birthday of Mabel Collins (1851–1927) who was a writer, occultist, Theosophist, animal-welfare campaigner… and a woman with a rather fascinating place in the history of Western esotericism. But how much do you know about her? TRIVIA TIME! 1. Mabel Collins wrote more than 40 books, but which spiritual text became her most famous work? A) The Secret Doctrine B) Light on the Path C) The Mystical Qabalah 2. Which famous occultist did Collins work alongside before the relationship spectacularly broke down? A) Pamela Colman Smith B) Aleister Crowley C) Helena Petrovna Blavatsky And here's a bonus question: What on earth does Mabel Collins have to do with a magazine called Lucifer? You'll find the answers, and the rather interesting story behind them, in this month's Month in Magic inside the Skool Classroom. 🗓️ Month in Magic is a FREE resource exploring the people, celebrations, anniversaries and moments that have shaped Tarot, spirituality, occultism, and multi-faith beliefs and traditions around the world. From mystics and Tarot creators to sacred festivals, spiritual traditions and some wonderfully unexpected stories, there’s always another reason to look at the calendar a little differently. Head into the Classroom → Month in Magic and discover what else September has waiting for you. Because sometimes an ordinary date has a rather extraordinary story behind it.
