We are becoming farmers
@Aaron Amezcua and I have come to the conclusion that we have to become farmers. This is the only way we believe we will prosper through the coming times. Not because we're scared of technology and resistant to all change, but because the agrarian life is the path to prosperity that God gave to us. (Didn't our God speak to us in agricultural parables? Didn't he make man a farmer in a garden?) Everyone in this community needs to have a sense of urgency about getting on land and becoming a producer. With how things are going with inflation, artificial intelligence, robotics, war, neuralink, and more, I believe it's the only wise path forward for our families. In this video, we discuss a bit more about why we're becoming farmers and share some of the projects we have going on to that end. P.S. Community call tomorrow at 6pm CST!

Another great commentary! My realization for becoming a farmer came quite quick! I will attribute that though to becoming a mother. After having kids my desire to become a producer and not a consumer started. I started with shopping at farmer markets, making our own bread/butter/etc, and now lean into more holistic medicinal care for them as well. I want to start a small garden of herbs and maybe some fruit this year to give myself that experience. I tried like you said not having land or living on land stop me from producing better for my family! To also add I have now been bouncing the idea in my head to take classes for carpentry or electrical lol but may be a reach for now.
Our tiny homes are finally happening
We’re building our tiny homes! 3 years being on this land and my brother Aaron and I are finally building our little cabins. Quick tour of our progress so far!

So cool! Did you weigh all options? Like manufactured vs tiny home vs all 100% build? Are you also commissioning any help for these builds or are you building this out yourself like a DIY?

Amazing video guys! Thanks so much for touching on a lot of topics I feel all of us are feeling. This was extremely motivating as well. I look forward to the next call to be able like you said really start the discussion and build the community.
Hello!
Hi all! Wanted to quickly introduce myself. My name is Bobbi and I’m currently living in Los Angeles with my husband and 2 toddlers. Me and my husband have come to the realization that homesteading and being called back to the land is God’s calling for us. We believe true generational wealth is being self-sufficient with the resources the Lord has given us. We’re both born and raised in the city so this dream is a big change for us. As of now I’m starting to work on my gardening skills and my husband has went back to trade school to build better skills. We’d like to turn this “dream” into a reality and we know that means aligning with a community who has the same intentions and ideas. So excited to be here and learn from everyone. Thank you!

@Aaron Amezcua yes he was telling me ! I work over on the west side sometimes now. For the most part I’m a remote worker still thank the Lord. Ideally we’d kinda like to move out of California. We’ve looked at land before in NC, Texas, Arkansas but we’re still in the very early idea stage of how to make this happen for our family and where exactly to go ! I’d love to move somewhere with a good obviously catholic community lol

@Aaron Amezcua I think once everything happened in 2020 it made me reevaluate. I hadn’t had kids yet in 2020 but my daughter came 2 years after and I just started to have a deeper feeling and longing for a simpler life. It helps too that my husband was very open and on board when I brought the idea up. He works in labor now but he hates being an employee he’d rather labor on his own land for resources directly beneficial to his family instead of a company. And I’ve taken to homemaking very easy it just seems like a natural choice and response for us. So i think since 2021 we’ve really been setting out intention to leave CA and start anew somewhere else.
Founding Members: Read This
Welcome! This is a community of Catholics who are called back to the land. If you are here, you are here because you sense something is shifting. Founding members help shape the culture. This week, I want every member to answer this: What is your 5-year land vision for your family? Where do you want to be? Why? Be specific. We’ll be discussing quality responses live Wednesday.

Hi All ! My name is Bobbi I’m from and currently still living in Los Angeles, CA. Mine and my husbands vision and dream is to depart from Los Angeles and start a homestead for our young family. We currently have 2 toddlers. I’d like to build real generational wealth for my children by having land and being self sufficient. In the next 5 years we’d like to start transitioning even into a 1 acre property to get started. We plan to have many more kids that the Lord blesses us with. Places we’ve looked at are Arkansas, North Carolina, Texas. Excited to talk with more like minded Catholics and hear tips and stories of how to get started or what’s been working so far!

@Erick Amezcua that is so amazing! I’m so happy and inspired by your leap of faith. Yes and you definitely have to share the story! Do you both still have employment for income? Or freelancing? Or are you solely just working on your land right now. I think what I need most right now is to create a plan to follow. Living in California we do have a pretty good income and instead of buying a home here we would love to save and buy land. Or idk if it would be better to move to where we want to buy land and start from there.
