@Mary Anne Gibson I love that you're thinking outside the box! You're probably a little ahead of your time...but not by much! I believe there is one company that offers (or offered) telefingerprinting. It's not exactly what you have in mind, because it still requires the fingerprinting device itself, and that's the biggest challenge I would see right now. This company required the client to go to a Fedex, where they had devices installed. That might be a step closer to what you're thinking!

I'm in a closed state as well and just getting started. We're going to focus on ink at first, dialing in our marketing (SEO, paid ads, and GBP) and honing our rolling skills with lots of practice on each other within the team, and plan very quickly to move to a livescan device for scaling. Our target customer is corporations with multiple employees and/or multi-state background checks where the efficiency of a livescan device could make a difference.
