@Shannon H you can set it up, buy the real estate with the traditional, get a discount conversion on the property, then move it over to the Roth. I also am not an expert, so please don’t take that as financial advice. I feel like the cost to maintain an ROBs and try to comply is more difficult than just having a self directed account that can also save you on taxes.

The money I save is more money I can invest or enjoy life with. I own one rental. I like fix and flip. I literally enjoy bringing a property back to life. I’m not a fan of endless calling like wholesalers do and even though I understand the value of a rental, it’s not my favorite because I really don’t want to deal with tenants. My biggest challenge is me. I’m hesitant, but my last paycheck from my w2 is Sept 30th, so I have to do something asap. I’m also a private money broker.
