This Week We Are Talking About What Happens in That Room
Good morning, family. We have one more week of August together, and it is a big one. This Tuesday, August 25, at 7:00 PM Trinidad / 7:00 PM Eastern / 6:00 PM Central / 6:00 PM Jamaica — we go LIVE for the final session of Month 3. Topic: Autism at School: Advocating for Your Child in Every Room. This session is about the room where decisions get made. The teacher's meeting. The principal's office. The assessment room. The IEP table. If you have ever sat in that room and walked out feeling like you failed your child — I want you to know: you did not fail. You just did not have what you are about to have. Mood check to start the week: How do you feel walking into a school meeting for your child? 1 — Terrified and small 2 — Uncertain and underprepared 3 — Frustrated but fighting 4 — Getting stronger every time Drop your number. And bring someone to Tuesday who needs this conversation.
