I've no idea why..
Last weekend we went to a Japanese evening at our l9cal restaurant (we live in France 🇫🇷). The owners are our friends, after the meal there was a 'private party' (i.e a lock in) for the sons birthday. We had a great time, we started playing word games from Netflix with everyone else - you know there is a four x four grid of letters a ND you get points for finding words. I'm REALLY good at these in english, I just see the patterns. But in french??? Turns out we were good in French as well - We came second every round!! Then we asked if we could swap to English to see the results - i couldn't believe it, it was like my brain had switched off English!! We came 3rd/4th!!! People guessing with absolutely no knowledge of english did better. I wonder if it was a) the late hour b) the wine 🍷 or c) my brain was just completely tuned to French for the whole evening 🤔

Talk about your activities in French ?
I wrote this article to help you get the right formula to talk about your activities in French (sport, playing instrument...) Basically, you need 2 verbs - FAIRE et JOUER - and some vocabulary. In this article, you will also find the links toward some flash cards. Ready to dive ? Prêt à plonger ?🤿 https://www.thefrenchformula.com/blog/talking-about-your-activities-in-french Ex : Je fais de la natation 🏊🏼‍♀️

David, hubby, has got into reading Tin Tin books which is loves. There is also the radio shows on Radio France which he also really enjoys. I haven't as yet found my 'goto' French interesting topic, but I do like reading the cooking magazines - the adverts and the food. It is interesting that mine and Davids lexicon is very different - he understands fishing, diy and garden terms. I understand crochet, painting, decorating, sewing and cooking words.
