New Week New You...Feeding Sin
Dear Embracers, Sometimes we don’t even notice when we’re feeding a sin. It starts small, just a thought, a habit, a compromise we tell ourselves isn’t a big deal. But sin is never satisfied with a little. The more we feed it, the more it grows, and the more it quietly steals our peace, our joy, and the closeness we were made to have with God. Yet God never watches this happen from a distance. He leans in. He calls our name. He reminds us that He didn’t create us to live weighed down or half-alive. His desire isn’t to shame us but to free us. He invites us to stop feeding what harms us and start feeding what heals us, His truth, His presence, His love. God’s heart is not “stop sinning so you can be worthy of Me,” but rather, “come close to Me, and you’ll find the strength to stop feeding what was never meant to have power over you.” He wants us whole. He wants us free. And He’s patient as we learn to starve the things that drain us and nourish the things that bring us back to life.
