What’s the Biggest Problem You Need Solved?
Hey, guys. I’m starting to get acclimated to my new role. Thanks to everyone sending warm wishes! I want to start tackling the problems that you are trying to solve, but I need to know where you want me focused for now. Answer this poll so I know what problem you’re struggling with the most right now in your bookkeeping and financial advisory businesses. 1) Fulfillment (aren’t sure how to deliver the services your are selling) 2) Selling (you get prospects but aren’t converting them to clients) 3) Marketing (you need help building your pipeline and getting attention for your business) 4) Scaling (you basically have a high paying self employed job and don’t know how to systemize your business so you can get more time back)

I agree with Paul, it feels like my outreach to businesses is on deaf ears. I am currently working on making sure my website is being seen but I think there is something else missing. I often question if I'm charging too much. Sadly, not many bookkeepers post their prices on their websites for me to compare.

I'm not sure I meet all the qualifications but I'd be interested in hearing more. I'm looking to find another position where I can grow and learn more than I can where I'm at. Let me know who I can reach out to and I can send my resume.
LinkedIn Is Beginning to Change My Life
Guys…. I can’t share full stories yet because they are still playing out. But all I will say is that my New Year’s Resolution this year was to post on LinkedIn everyday. And it is legitimately starting to change my life. I say this to encourage you. I’m only 8 months in. 1 post a day. Nothing crazy. Again, I will share the actual details soon of what I mean. But maybe this is your wake up call to start getting active on social media.

@Jordan Reynolds if it's still my name, how do I keep my current employer from seeing it?

@Jordan Reynolds I'm not connected with her now so the only way she'd see something is if she searched me or saw a comment from someone she's connected to. I really wish you could block people on LinkedIn.
Here’s How to Stand Out to Recruiters
If you’re looking for a job, try something like this: I was on the job market and looking for a job. There was this recruiter that I had been connected to for some time. She worked for a recruiting firm that ONLY recruited accounting professionals. I couldn’t get her attention…. until…. I sent this email to her. If you’re trying to get people to make time for you. Let them see your human side. That’s how you beat the AI hype.

I need to get more comfortable reaching out to people. I always struggle with where the line is between genuine connection and desperation.
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭28‬-‭29‬
“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.” https://bible.com/bible/59/rom.8.28-29.ESV
