🚨 Another registration a lot of independent artists miss… and it could mean leaving money on the table. Many artists upload music, promote it, and move on without realizing there are royalty systems designed specifically to collect money tied to their recordings. I just uploaded a walkthrough on SoundExchange and broke down how to get set up properly. Don’t overlook the business side of your music. Ownership and setup matter. Check out the training below and let me know: Were you already registered with SoundExchange, or is this your first time hearing about it? šŸ‘‡

Sync Licensing šŸ’°
šŸ’£ TRUTH BOMB: This right here is why I keep talking about sync licensing. These placements on my BMI statement are not new placements. Some of these records were created years ago… And they’re still paying. Let that sink in. I’m not posting this to brag.I’m posting this because too many artists think money in music only comes from streams. Nah. A song can keep working long after you leave the studio. TV placements.Backend royalties.Catalog income. That’s the difference between just creating music…and building assets. Most people are chasing what pays them today. I’m trying to show artists how to create things that can still be paying you years later. Your music can become an employee.

Friday check-in
Quick check-in šŸ’° Has anybody had a chance to check out the videos I uploaded or the classroom training yet? If you watched one, I’d love to hear your feedback: • What was your biggest takeaway?• Did you learn something new?• Was there anything that made you think differently about your music business? If you haven’t watched yet, no worries. Let me know which topic you’re planning to jump into first šŸ‘‡

Late night post!
Late night grind šŸ’°šŸŒ™ Some of the best work happens when the rest of the world gets quiet. No notifications. No distractions. No outside noise. Just vision, focus, and execution. People usually see the results later. They see the wins, the growth, the money, and the opportunities. What they don't see are the late nights studying, building systems, creating content, learning the business, and putting pieces together while everybody else is asleep. You're either building your future or scrolling through someone else's. Late night check-in: What are you working on right now that's going to pay off later? šŸ‘‡

🚨 Throwback, but still relevant.
🚨 Throwback, but still relevant. I made this video almost 10 years ago and wanted to share it because I think it proves something important. Long before AI, gurus, and everybody started talking about monetization, I was already teaching artists how to think beyond streams and build income around their music. Some things in music have evolved. Platforms change. Tools change. But ownership, monetization, and understanding the business side of music never go out of style. Watch this and tell me below: What advice in music do you hear today that you wish somebody had told you years ago? šŸ‘‡
