How Out of Touch Medical Advise is for Obese People
I ran across this article today: "Six activities can help obese people lose weight and keep it off" from the "Harvard Health Publishing - Harvard Medical School" November 1, 2019. Researchers recruited more than 18,000 adults ages 30 to 70 and examined their individual genes and exercise routines. Exercise was defined as at least 30 minutes of activity performed three times a week. Researchers found that the best activities for maintaining a healthy weight for those with a genetic link to obesity were, in order, jogging, mountain climbing, walking, power walking, dancing, and long yoga sessions. ❌ Jogging ❌ Mountain Climbing ☑️Walking ❌ Power Walking ☑️Dancing ❌ Long Yoga Sessions (short yes!) If someone is able to mountain climb, they will not be obese. This is where I think people who are considered slightly obese and those of us who are extremely obese shouldn't be in the same category! Looking at the Body Mass Index (BMI) chart, it seems someone my height 5'6" with a weight between 175 lbs to 275 lbs is considered obese. Kind of ridiculous to put someone at 175 and 275 in the same category! Even more ridiculous to recommend diet and exercise as a one-size-fits-all solution.

I never got that body mass index thing. I sure won't be mountain climbing anytime soon.
What I suck at... thanks Gary V!
I have pushed past perfectionism (the killer of dreams) and made a quick video with no editing.

It works for me. I suck at organizing.
Where's the beef?
How do we lose weight? You haven't mentioned anything about what to eat in the classroom, community chat or on youtube?
Sunday Reset
I use Sundays to set my week up for success... laundry, grocery shopping, organizing meals for the week, stocking up... all of the little stuff that can cause stress in a time crunch. I like to plan ahead to avoid stress. When I'm stressed, I decompress by binge-eating while watching my favorite Netflix show, so I try to avoid unnecessary stress. How about you guys?

Sundays keep me sane. Before I hit the road for work I've got to get it together to get thru the week.
