@Jade Mutu What is your general go-to method for choosing travel insurance? Are there any tips of hints that are not otherwise obvious? I imagine a lot of people here will be paying for it on their rewards credit cards /AMEX, so they may have cover included there. A few questions I'm finding challenging to navigate: 1) How do you know whether a rewards card travel insurance policy will offer enough cover? 2) When is it a good idea to take out other insurances as well as these basic policies (In my case I'm going to Bali & will be riding on the back of bikes + surfing so that may need a separate policy. 3) What are common mistakes people make with their policies?

@Jade Mutu This is such good advice. I have NIB & deadset never use them for anything hahahah. Just Emergency insurance. I'll check out that policy to see if it offers the ideal cover. Going to need 'nomad' insurance in 2026 for all the galavanting I'm planning with these travel hacks lol.
Case Study: Saving $2,140 In My First Month 🙌
So, I just started with this community & am STOKED with what I've already been able to get out of it. $2,140 in cash saved from some simple foresight! I'm confident ANYONE could do the same if they're planning their travels at least 3 months in advance (to give time to get the right rewards programs, use this community & understand what's possible / communicate with @Jade Mutu etc.). SITUATION I'm someone who loves to travel (At this stage I want to aim for 1 trip per quarter) but: 1) Don't plan ahead early enough to get the best deals/ flexible times. 2) Never properly used rewards points or had a good framework for navigating the seemingly endless options. 3) Gets overwhelmed by the process of booking flights generally & usually opts for a the cheapest choice with budget carriers without considering everything I'll need. WHAT WE DID 1) Signed up for a rewards credit card. I used American Express Explorer (I was going to go Platinum but I'm not big on the fancy stuff). 2) Instantly used the $400 travel credit from the American Express Explorer card for a trip I was planning. 3) Because of speaking to @Jade Mutu I was able to plan ahead & avoid peak times saving me $1000 (not including travel credit) in airfares to Bali. I got a flight for $333 using the AMEX booking platform 👀 🇮🇩 - She also helped me navigate what I would need to take on my flight to decide which fare would be best for me. The initial advice was to get a Flexi ticket, but on reviewing the info because I didn't need carry on baggage & I would have at least 14 days notice to the airline if I needed to change my flight it would be cheaper to just pay the $99 IF I needed to change instead of pre paying an extra $160. 4) Paid for the flights of the 3 people travelling with the Explorer card + accommodation. Got 100,000 bonus points for spending over $4000 in the first 90 days of having the card. Points value around $700.

Here was the early dialogue of specific advice I combined with the courses in here to reach this outcome https://www.skool.com/travel-with-jade-7029/best-approach-for-booking-flights-with-tentative-return-dates?p=a9fb681d

@Jade Mutu do you have a personal AMEX link people can use if they want to take inspo from my story?
Best approach for booking Flights with tentative return dates
I have a question that I believe many people would love to know the answer: when booking a trip where you do not know the exact return date what is the best way to typically approach this? Further context on my situation: - I am travelling to Bali in June and want to try to book as early as possible. - The fact that that has stopped me so far is not knowing my exact return date with some uncertainty around when I may be needed in Australia during my planned return in late July. - I also recently just got a personal AMEX to maximise my rewards as per the Travel blueprint. - I am somewhat stuck around how to decide which airline to choose and whether to buy a Flexi ticket or simply buy each leg one at a time. - Is there a decision framework to help make a good decision around this based on if someone has a frequent flyer membership or a certain amount of reward points?

What was your FAVOURITE travel destination?
I have had a few join that are foodies, others that love Disney and one ol' bloke who is "free to a good home" (thanks DAD) and I would LOVE to hear your fav travel destinations and WHY! We all love a good "why would I go there" so we can all add it to the bucket list. And when I say Bucket list, I mean, the places you WILL GO!

So hard to decide as they were all perfect in their own way! But I’d have to say a definite highlight was the real Copacabana 🇧🇷 (not my hometown on the Australian Central Coast haha) with my partner!

@Jade Mutu Tour tip 💯 a guy called Experience Rio. Best tour I've ever done I think. Such an authentic look into the reality of the area. From kids with M16 machine guns patrolling the beautifully painted soccer field to live ammunition from 4 days ago in the walls, it was absolutely incredible!! I was so moved I wrote an article on it & am planning to build a business around the example Henry my guide set (Once I get these next pieces in place myself) https://www.linkedin.com/posts/benjamin-grant-killen_entrepreneurship-activity-6994145995085238272-giMi?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_desktop&rcm=ACoAABpAYYoBIe8asXhxxVeUQM6vilY1dxE7z4A Food wise, you can't go wrong with Churrasco! Assador was incredible.
