The Job Market is S**T!
Hello everyone! As we prepare courses, modules and downloadables for this wonderful community, I came across this article. The job market really is insane at the moment, which personally, is another big driver for my path to entrepreneurship. It's been said during hard times is when entrepreneurship, number of founders, and innovation is on the rise, and I feel like we're going through a similar time in history. You could argue though, that stakes are higher this time around. What do you make of this? Do you have any stories of what's happening to the job market with AI? I'd love to hear it! https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2025/09/job-market-hell/684133/

The $445 Million Question That Should Keep Every AI Founder Awake
Builder.ai just collapsed spectacularly. $445M raised, $1.5B valuation, backed by Microsoft and SoftBank. The twist? Their "AI" was actually 700+ engineers in India manually coding everything. But here's what really killed them: They reported $220M revenue when actual revenue was $55M. Classic case of AI washing meeting reality. We've seen a lot of cases where people that over hyped or embellished get funded often while those who don't have a hard time. If "fake it till you make it" gets more funding, how do you create real competitive advantages that matter more than hype? What's one specific moat one can build that can't be faked or copied by competitors? Drop your thoughts below - no judgment, just real talk from founders in the trenches.

This will likely be a never ending story. Squeaky wheel gets the grease. Unfortunately "smoke and mirrors" often get the attention and funding, especially if those who are creating the smoke have connections. It'll likely get even more pronounced with AI. A big part of me wonders if we're heading toward a dot com bubble like what happened in 2000. Time will tell. Best we can do until then though is fix real problems and keep building!
Hello!
I grew up coding, got into games after college, was part of million-selling title teams, and loved the whole experience. Since then, I've developed products and services that not only deliver value but also delight the customer. I'm so grateful that my largest project was picked up by a Fortune 100 in 2017. My favorite phase of product development is building relationships with true, delighted champions. The right questions of them provide critical feedback that helps shift netpro into the red hot zone. I am so stoked to be playing with AI technologies daily! Like many of you, I have so many ideas as pokers in the fire. I build rapidly to test ideas' technical aspects, and am familiar with scaling and migrations. I am slow to test ideas with real customers. It's something I'd like to work on.
