It’s not predicted to hit us directly overhead — it’s expected to pass a little further north — but winds of 120km+ per hour are forecast. It’s just coming in now. Electricity has been on and off all day. We are still among the lucky ones. Other parts of Portugal are being really badly affected. We’ve been tearful here, seeing the flood damage. A town we visited six weeks ago around my birthday has had flooding as high as the tops of the ground-floor windows. The carousel our son went on has been washed away. It’s very tough. The picture of the people in the boat was taken on a road we actually walked on very recently. The picture that looks like it shows a lot of brown land is an aerial view of our town by the sea. That brown area is usually all grass. Over the last six weeks, our local fields have flooded. The water hasn’t reached us, but all the flooded fields are now merging together. We are effectively in a moat. Many of the houses are higher up, which has helped. Thank goodness for the incredibly brave emergency workers, working tirelessly to rescue not only vulnerable people but also those taken completely by surprise. These are real pictures from the news and social media from the last storm. I think this has now reached international news. We have everything we might need — Starlink has been ordered, along with a generator. We’ve got firewood, and we’ve got each other. Thank you so much for all of your kind messages of support. HELLO!! So I've had a couple of days off going into the new year - How are you? How were your celebrations? We walked down to the atlantic ocean and watched our local fireworks...fantastic. The kids were delighted. So - this coming week has a few things to observe: 1) The Venus Cazimi 2) The Mars Cazimi 3) Venus, Sun, Mars oppositions to Jupiter 4) The Venus Chiron square coming in at the end 5) The busiest days are Thurs 8th through to Saturday 10th In this week ahead, I've also put in some named asteroids to represent regulating the nervous system, stopping 'self-erasure', taking up your rightful place, so hopefully we can all find a way to powerfully 'accept ourselves' and not talk our way out of living a great life. Happy New Year!! In today's forecast I chat around the idea of Neptuen and Mercury in their exact square but also about what Neptune has been teaching us about creativity/spirituality. Do you feel clearer as you go into 2026? Is it an illusion? Later on Mercury heads into Capricorn and we're rubbing our hands together and getting ready to get way more practical, business-like and serious. And with the Sun in an exact sextile to the north node (and Mars/Venus too), we can also cosndier what we want to shine into the world. Final thoughts get a little 'out there', considering the T-Square between Hygeia (goddess of natural health and healing), mercury and neptune and it occurs to me that we've got a conversation between body, mind, soul - how can we integrate these for a moment or two, to get even more clarity?
