What's up everyone. I recently submitted a three tracks to Pond5. 1 R&B 1 Hip Hop and 1 Lofi. They rejected me😒😮‍💨. But this is the message the sent me with the reasoning. "Thanks for taking the time to thoughtfully prepare and send in your submission for review! After careful consideration, unfortunately, these tracks are not the right fit for Pond5 based on current trends and user feedback from our Buyer and Creative Community. Our Audio Curatorial process is engineered to carefully consider new and emerging submissions that will ultimately drive sales and create exposure while elevating opportunities for our Contributor community. In full transparency, we cannot accept everything, especially if your submissions may already have similar sounding versions currently within the Marketplace. As a kind note, please keep in mind our Curators may reject submissions if they believe the assets will not have a significant impact within our Marketplace or may underperform. Currently, Pond5 has more than 6,000,000 Music and Sound Effects tracks covering a wide range of genres. Having too much of any given genre or style often leads to an ineffective user search experience. Please know that a wide range of subjective and objective criteria was used to make a thoughtful and comprehensive decision". Since it says their "process is engineered". It lead me to believe it Ai doing the reviewing. Is that true?

@Tim Jeffcoat Hey Tim. Yes they shared the music brief page with me. I asked them a question but they haven't gotten back with me yet. If I could go back a month or two because this month's brief is not my thing.

@Tim Jeffcoat exactly. A couple months ago was Tibetan music. I was like what?? !! And this month is Reggaeton. Which I could probably pull off. But I've never done that in my life. Lol I've messed around with Reggae though but not seriously.
Just Accepted in AudioSparx, now what? 😶
Hey everyone, I just completed a small playlist of tracks to submit to music licensing companies and music libraries. So I was able to submit to a few sites like pond 5 and AudioSparx. I'm waiting for my account to be procressed with Pond5 and was I accepted by AudioSparx. Has anyone ever worked with AudioSparx before? Secondly, this submission game is draining. Lol Uploading all the metadata and info. Then you research music sites only to see they aren't acceping music right now. It also eems like a lot of libraries close submissions for the first quarter.

@Glenn Macrae Yes that's definitley my goal to build a portfolio of that size within the year. Focused on gettin quicker at knocking out tracks. Yes, could you please direct me to a resource that would help with the metadata. I signed up for Disco.

@Glenn Macrae I truly need to spend time on templates. I kind of do. Say if I did a R&B track, I basically remove all of the audio and use what I had setup in that session as a start. Even my mixing chain for instruments and vocals. Instead of starting from scratch.
👑The Classroom is a goldmine👑 Make sure you're using it!!!
Hey everyone - found out recently that even some folks in the Accelerator weren't aware of everything inside the Classroom. So I clipped a quick walkthrough and wanted to share it here with all of you. ✨This is a constantly expanding resource built for you. When you show up in this community, the Classroom is one of the first places you should go. It's packed with tools, guides, and material I put together specifically to help you move forward with sync - and it's all yours to utilize just for showing up here. ✨My whole thing is delivering as much value as possible at no cost. The Classroom is a big part of that.✨ On a related note - if you're looking for more structure, accountability, and direct coaching, I run a monthly group called The Sync Vault Accelerator ($97/month). Tim, Dawn, Jen, and Kaleb are already in there doing the work together. Just something to be aware of if you're ready to go deeper. If you want more information about that, just shoot me a DM and/or make sure to book your strategy and onboarding call so you can make sure that you're getting the most out of this community

Three people stood out this week, not for having it all figured out, but for doing the work in public and keeping the conversation moving forward. @Tyree Newton took real action this week, submitting to AudioSparx and Pond5 and building the foundation that sync income is built on. He was also open about how draining the metadata grind is, and that honesty matters. The composers seeing real traction are sitting on 50-100+ tracks across multiple libraries, and Tyree is laying that groundwork right now. 🔥 @Adam Nelson came in, shared his music without hesitation, and jumped straight into a real conversation about Taxi, sync briefs, and what's actually marketable. @Tim Jeffcoat flagged your stomp/clap tracks as something that comes up on briefs repeatedly. That's exactly the kind of feedback worth acting on. Pull those out of mothballs. 🎯 @Virgil Cash finished 6 tracks last week, already has two mixes in progress this week, and still took time to encourage everyone else in the Monday thread. That's the standard. Productive and community-minded. 💪 Three different stages, three different approaches, all moving forward. Who's next? Drop what you're working on below. 👇

Let's go everyone! I'm trying to pay attention to what is actually in demand and work to produce that.

What are the parameters for "Ready"? Because I hear a lot of suspect music out there.

@Glenn Macrae Ok, yes I see what you mean. I've been lazily trying to get into sync for the last two years. But now that I'm fully focused, I have taken time to listen to libraries and top songs. And there is "A Sound" so to speak. Also like you said whatever you are pitching to make sure our music fits sonically, stylewise, and has a production music quality mix. So I'm starting to understand that now.
