AT ONE IMPACT WEEK is a collaborative global forum launched as a recurring flagship initiative to gather business, policy, and philanthropic leaders to transition toward a cooperative, life-serving well-being economy. It was initiated by Tsao Pao Chee (TPC) Group, a Singapore-headquartered, fourth-generation family business with over 120 years of maritime and industrial history. Driven by its fourth-generation steward, Chavalit Frederick Tsao, TPC operates with the core mission to "serve the well-being of Life and create wealth at the same time," rejecting extractive corporate models in favor of values like harmony, happiness, systemic regeneration, and quantum leadership. This 7minute, 2022 video was shared by a group of local psychotherapists while the recent Artemis II mission was in flight. I'm sharing it here as a beautiful reminder of the 'overview effect' and as a piece of science communication that helps me resolve some of my conflict about space exploration - because the 'overview effect' helps us see that we are all 'of earth' - we are planetary. I could imagine this video being used in a facilitation, supported by inner development-focused coaching questions, including using the 'Dolly Zoom' film technique mentioned in the video. When he looked out on the planet, he saw an iridescent biosphere teeming with life, all protected by a remarkably thin atmosphere. As the year closes and IDG moves through a time of transition, many of us are carrying both gratitude and grief, and an appreciation for what has been possible, what may be ending, and the unanswered questions that remain. This two-hour gathering is an invitation to slow down together, honour what has been and what has been lost, and reconnect with the deeper sources of creative agency that carry us forward.
