šŸ“¢ LME NAVI: Weekly Onboarding & Support Meetup | May 2, 2025
Hey everyone! We're getting together again this Friday! Our weekly meetup is the perfect time to connect, stay motivated, and NAVIgate the course together. What to expect: 🌟 New members, welcome! @Merry Stone, @Tingting Yu, @Barry Logen, @Huang Hui Qing, @Rong Ye, @Liu Heng, @Susan Guo, @Sherry Wang, @Lili Pan, @Jing Duan, @Mauricio Ono, @Hyunseok Choi, @Jenny Liu, @Big Smile, @Windy Wang, @Jam Cacodemon, @Jingru Huang, @An Vivi, @Jenny Zhu, @Zoey Zhuo, @Felix Ye, and anyone I missed -- don’t be shy! This is a friendly space to meet English-speaking friends. You’re welcome to just drop by and say hi! Starting is easy: ā€œHi! I'm ___, from ___. I'm new here and I enjoy speaking English.ā€ That’s it! We’ve all been there, and we’re here to support. šŸ—ļø AMA? What do those letters mean? Is it a code? Yes, it's kind of like a secret password -- to unlock the door to more confident English speaking. AMA = Ask Me Anything. It’s a space where a coach is all ears and ready to help. Asking questions is using your English -- it’s a skill too. You don’t just use English to tell stories; you use it to ask, connect, or even dodge a question (yep, that’s a skill too šŸ˜‰). You’ll find lots of AMA sessions on the Skool Calendar, where coaches are available live to chat in English and help you out. But often, we hesitate. Questions pop up before we even join:

✨ LME NAVI Meetup Recap | April 25, 2025
Today, we once again witnessed how deeply alike we humans are fundamentally -- and how beautifully different we are in our personal experience. Fundamentally -- We confirmed the famous Bouba/Kiki effect: 95% of people associate "bouba" with a round shape and "kiki" with something spiky. Science says so, and we proved it again today. Personally -- Our ā€œEnglish senseā€ experiences by touch, smell, sight, hearing, and taste were so wildly different -- I honestly wanted to try on every single one... even @Alex Understated's dusty carpet. Big thanks and special mentions to: @Alex Understated Best wishes to you and your wife on your son's birthday tomorrow! Even while driving, you found time to say hi -- appreciate it :) @Evelyne Vincent Your English feels sticky like honey, smells like an old book, looks like London, sounds like Tube announcements, and tastes like black tea with a cookie. Just don't tell Coach Shane about your secret crush on British English :) @Eva Bosakova Your forest path full of roots and rocks reminded me of what Coach Shane says: Don’t get lost in the details -- you can't see the forest for the trees. @Yulong Deng English as a door into a brand new world… such a deep and meaningful image. @Ada Ada Fresh bread, soft and warm, with curious little details. Keep that curiosity alive! @Moxa Xie English as a smooth river journey with Coach Shane guiding the boat… peaceful and natural way of learning -- no fear, no stress. @Sia Zhang Your version of English grew from scratch: a textbook, coffee, music, bread with butter, and a charming stranger with blue eyes. Brad Pitt… or Bread Pitt? @Anton Krutov Glad you made it! Thanks for the guitar tune recommendation -- I'll share the link below.

I just want to say I really enjoyed this! It feels amazing to be part of an English community where everyone connects so well like this. I had to step away in the middle—such a pity! But I’ll definitely join again next time!āœØšŸ˜ŠšŸŽø
