Social media… 😵‍💫 But you don’t have to tackle the entire publishing journey today. You only need to identify the 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱. If you're serious about making money from your book, this is something you cannot afford to ignore. The category you choose on Amazon can directly impact how difficult it is for your book to compete. Think about this... In some categories, you may need to sell 𝗵𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗱𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸𝘀 𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗱𝗮𝘆 to compete for bestseller status. In other categories, you might only need around 𝟯𝟬 𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗱𝗮𝘆 to reach that same kind of visibility. 🤔 Which category would YOU rather compete in? This is why I don't recommend blindly choosing the category that simply sounds the most relevant to your book. You want to look at: 🔎 How competitive the category is 📈 How well the top books are selling 🎯 Whether your book genuinely fits the category 💰 How realistic it is for you to compete there Choosing strategically can make it much easier to gain visibility, climb the rankings, and ultimately generate more sales. One of the goals I set up for myself this year was to try to go on one podcast per month.
