Get your book in a SWAG BAG- Yoga Festival
Hi authors... I have secured an opportunity for 2 - 3 Red Thread Authors! Get your book into the hands of people who need it... @bigbearyogafestival will put your book in their swag bag! Things to consider: 1) Are these your ideal readers? 2) Are you willing to donate 📚 50-75 copies of your book? 3) What is your desired outcome from this exposure? If you can say yes to the first two questions... share your ROI /desired outcome in the chat. 👇

@Dee Mehta Thank you! I'm in this space of continually seeing, creating and responding to my own seasonal flow. I've been cocooned for a few months, but August is a power planning month for my favorite time of year - September to November. This yoga-festival possibility comes right as I'm connecting multiple life, work, business, and next-goal ambitions.

I use Chat GPT and sometimes Claude for research, brainstorming, and comparing ways of saying something that has to said, sent, or written but doesn't require too much of my brain power (like a follow-up email about scheduling a meeting). I've blended some of the AI copy and images into marketing and social media materials, overlaying many of my own words and ideas on AI's scaffolding. I don't want to forget how I write, feel, and think, so I will always journal and write my own stories, but I like the possibilities AI offers to expand my view and I like how it gives me a nugget of something I may not have seen otherwise.

Obviously, my laptop, phone, and YouTube are listening to me think, use, and research AI because today this video popped in. 🧐 This is how one Standford professor approaches AI as the intersection between innovation, entrepreneurship, and creativity. He talks about some useful ideas that are easy to implement and could have an impact, particularly on admin task management. Worth watching if you're learning how to frame your AI interactions. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wv779vmyPVY My big take away is: This is far from the early days of Google where you throw a few keywords up and scroll through the hundreds of search-engine-generated options. Today's AI requires a significant mindset shift that leans towards nurturing and curating a teammate approach. It's more about creating a learning-together dynamic that cultivates a give-and-take of questions and answers between your GPT and your brain. Approaching AI as a teammate, and as a multi-faceted experiment to see how I manage and move through repetitive tasks, has increased my creative thinking and daydreaming imagination because my brain is freed up from overthinking details I don't really need to overthink. For now, I'm having fun with it and am finding it helpful. I love this conversation here and looking forward to seeing how it evolves.

SUNDAY's- Prep for a successful week
⏰ Time to check in on your 📚 book/ your business & your soul 🎆. Happy executive meeting (with yourself) I do mine every Sunday ☕ 📆 When do you have your weekly check-in? Sharing the structure for me Weekly Executive Meeting (with myself) -- a brief check-in to ground & focus my attention & energy for the coming week. shift to "coffee and clarity" vs "spreadsheets and stress". The elements get that my focus (but you can craft yours to fit you) ✅ Todo list (3 core tasks for the week - ONLY 3) ☎️ Events - schedule 📆 To plan- upcoming things that need prep 👉 Team/family (when relevant) 💰 MoneyLove ☕ Personal 🦋 Gratitude - essential to tend to all the good there is 🏆 Wins - celebrate the positive/accomplishments (DONE List) ⭐ Eisenhower Matrix- if/when you need it The Eisenhower Matrix, (Read our Blog about it) - A simple decision-making/time management tool that helps you prioritize tasks by categorizing between urgent and important tasks, enabling you to focus on what matters most.  Money Love Date: A #moneylove date is a dedicated time to check in on your finances, like a romantic date for your budget. Solo or with a life/ business partner, it's a chance to review income, spending, and goals, making adjustments and feeling empowered about your financial future. Think: coffee and clarity, not spreadsheets and stress! (inspired by a book by Kate Northrup)

I love doing this. I was doing a version of this kind of planning on Monday mornings, but it didn't stick as a habit. Lately, I have gravitated towards doing my week-ahead planning on Thursday evening or Friday mid-day. When I was doing it on Mondays, too many anxious thoughts crept in during the weekend. By moving to the planning to the end of the week, I feel a sense of relief and satisfaction, knowing what I accomplished in the current week and knowing there is a game plan for the coming week.

@Sierra Melcher Yes blueprinting the week... in fast time! I give myself about 30 minutes to go through the process, which kind of looks like this: - A few minutes of mindfulness meditation and/or breathwork followed by a few minutes of next-step visualization. I also call in/invite the "Spirit of My Business" to hang out in my meditative weekly "board room"... something I learned from Colette Baron Reid. - A few minutes to brain dump a list of things my mind wants to prioritize - Trim down the to-do list by muscle testing ideas against my intuition, adding hearts to the things that feel like as "soul work" - Block out specific chunks of time slots on my calendar for the most significantly heart-and-soul aligned, "important to work on/finish" tasks - Confirm upcoming meetings and add cushion time before the calls to prep for them. - My newest tactic: Add bigger blocks of time for "do what feels good now" daily check-ins, which allows for more creative playtime and flexibility to manage what's happening in real-time. I was doing this in a dedicated notebook, but I lack the consistency for that. More frequently, I'm using my Google calendar, notes, and tasks with deadline dates (which I can access on my phone and laptop) alongside a few daily alarms on my phone to create a short pause and seeing what direction I'm flowing in.
