Tertulia Website Activation Today
I just finished building my Website and activated it today, I do not have a book finished to offer, however, I thought I could blog about what I am working on and my progress through my writing journey. https://authors.tertulia.com/joannakasner-draft36or2s It is amateur but I think a good start.

@Paul Cole My biggest challenge at this moment is a lack of knowledge of technology. For instance, I have been using Word to write; however, I just learned the basics of Google Drive yesterday, and it appears this program will help me organize my writing materials better than Word has. The lack of technology has slowed my writing progress significantly. I have 5 journals I started 20 years ago and vast amounts of supporting material such as pictures, letters, emails, legal documents, etc. I am not short on words, as I feel I have so much to share; I know that when I can get a handle on how to master the technology that is available to me, I can produce much writing and plenty of life stories.

@Carley Fortune The experience that has helped me the most in this writing community thus far is having access to the many different levels of groups and podcast training in specific areas that we need to know as writers and self-publishers. Having a community board where we all can share, ask questions, and give advice has been a great asset during my writing process; however, the best part of this experience has been working with Lynn Smargis. She is amazing, kind, patient, and very professional. I am very new in the writing field, but she never makes me feel inferior.

I also met you at the Willamette Writers Group.
Is hiring a ghostwriter right for you?
Hiring a ghostwriter isn't a small decision. You're contracting a professional to enhance your reputation and make you stand out among your competition as the "professional who has the book." If you're already an established author, you understand the credibility a book brings to the table. People trust you. You're seen as an expert. They value your opinion more than another professional who offers the same services because you're now seen as an "expert." But is hiring a ghostwriter right for you? Here is a tool I developed to answer that question from a financial perspective. It's the Ghostwriter ROI tool. https://www.writeforyou.me/roi-calculator You fill out your data and answer as many questions as you can on the calculator. Then, once you hit calculate, it will show you if hiring a ghostwriter to write your book makes financial sense. If you've decided that hiring a ghostwriter to write your book doesn't make sense, but you'd like a ghostwriter to work with you, then hop on a call with me to discuss book coaching. Meeting weekly or twice a month, I keep you accountable, review your writing, answer your questions about your manuscript, publishing, and KDP - so that you can move forward and finish your book on time, without the doubt that plagues most new or returning authors. Having a book coach by your side gives you the confidence to publish your book and leverage this powerful tool in your business. Ready to start? https://cal.com/write-for-you/discovery-call

My biggest struggle right now is knowing what information to put in my book and what to leave out. The second struggle is organizations of writng content and supported materials.

@Olivia Merritt What inspired me to share my stories with others started mainly with my passion to introduce my personal experiences with family and friends. To share the trauma, tears, unexpected joys, wild freedom, deep friendships, and exciting adventures. However, since working on my book, I found a yearning to share life lessons with others, as I have always worked hard at helping people and giving back when and where I could.

@Olivia Merritt I think connecting with other writers has been a game-changing experience. Connecting with the right writing community has been a learning journey itself. I started a year ago when I joined Rose City Writers and learned that finding your specific genre is very important. Then I was referred to Willamette Writers, where I am currently attending groups. This is where I met Lynn Smargis. We are in the same Willamette Writers online group, and I have been working with her since April.
