Science Fair Project Enhancments
Hello. I am currently doing a machine learning project titled "Developing a Deep Learning-Based Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) for Rash Detection and Prediction of Future Skin Diseases," where I created an Android Studio App and trained the CNN on Google Colab IDE. I won the grand prize at my school fair and am participating in the DRSEF (Dallas Regional Science and Engineering Fair). Since before starting the project I have heard many say that this project has been very common at the state/local level fairs I am worried we won't advance to TXSEF because of this reason. Are there any enhancements/ideas we can change to the project to make it more original/innovative to the judges; Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.
Science Fair Doctor
My partner and I are creating an app for a science fair where we find out what rash type is inputted and then classify what skin disease it would lead to Our science teacher for the science fair required that we would need a (dermatologist) doctor to supervise our project to be safe, but we got one from India, and our teachers said they had to be in our nearby (DFW) region. Is this true?
Recommendations for November SAT Score Boost
Hi, all! I am a rising Senior from a South Texas border town who will apply to Johns Hopkins, Duke, Brown, Georgia Tech, Rice, and Texas A&M this fall. I am looking to increase my SAT score from a 1420 to a 1520-1600. What free resources, besides Khan Academy and Bluebook practice tests, do you recommend? What study schedule worked for you? Thank you!

@Kiara Ramon-Lozano Week 1- Diagnostic and Planning (Spend 1-2 hours on the diagnostic and another 1-2 hours planning your study schedule) Week 2- Focus on Weak Areas and Concepts (Aim for around 1 hour and 30 minutes daily. Break down each daily session for specific concepts to learn or problem types) Week 3- Mixed Practice and Timed Drills (Aim for around 1 hour and 45 minutes daily to do this) Week 4- Final Review and Test Strategies (Dedicate around 2 hours daily since this is one of the most important weeks. Look at various cheat sheets and resources provided by others) Week 5- Relax and Light Review (Around 30-60 minutes daily to relax so you can avoid burnout)
