Welcome to EquiKlub!
I’m so glad you’re here. EquiKlub is a learning and community space for thoughtful horse people who want to build practical horsemanship skills, develop themselves alongside their horses, and have real conversations about the horse-human partnership. This space is not built around one rigid method. It is built around principles, curiosity, critical thinking, and the understanding that every horse, human, and partnership is different. My hope is that EquiKlub becomes a place where we can explore horsemanship in a way that is practical, honest, and horse-aware without losing sight of the human. Inside this space, you’ll find courses, learning materials, reflections, practical tools, and discussions designed to help you understand your horse more clearly and make better decisions in the moment. This is also a place for exchange. You are welcome to ask questions, share thoughts, bring in different perspectives, reflect on your own partnership, and support others with kindness and curiosity. The goal is not to prove who is right. The goal is to keep learning, keep thinking, and keep finding better ways forward for both horse and human. To begin, I’ve added two courses: Before You Begin: Safe Lunging Foundations A free mini-course covering the basic safety, setup, and handling skills for lunging. Lunging for Connection A deeper course on using lunging as a calm, connected pre-ride check so you can read your horse’s mental, emotional, and physical state before deciding whether to ride. These are the first pieces of what I hope will become a larger learning library inside EquiKlub. Over time, I’d love this space to include more courses, Q&As, group discussions, case studies, training reflections, and practical support for real horse-human partnerships. For now, welcome 😊💜 Have a look around, introduce yourself when you’re ready, and feel free to share what brought you here. A good place to start is: Who are you and your horse? What are you currently working on?

Thank you for the invite! My name is Avery. My horse is Wally, an incredibly sensitive and intelligent thoroughbred. Wally came into my life in December 2024 and has tolerated my existence ever since. He initially took my confidence, threw it down, stomped on it, and spat on it for good measure. But after a session with Lisa changed my entire perspective on just how we connect, learn, and work together, Wally and I thrived. We spent hours learning each other again, exploring the trails, and just having so much fun together. He still just tolerates me most days though. He's a bit like a cat. You never truly know where you stand, unless you have food for him 😂 Wally is now back at home with me and initially had minimal/no trouble walking away from the property and going out on trails. Sadly, he has started to struggle when walking away from the property again. He gets so anxious and just wants to run back. It's sad because I know he does actually enjoy trails and exploring. I'd love to help him to feel confident to be ridden out by himself.
