Day 40- nature sniffs, obedience, conditioning
Following my planner, this morning we found 3 interesting things to sniff on our walk. Dogs sniffed and I watched haha. I drew the line at fish carcass that got confiscated 🙈 Lunch time obedience was heel position and first steps of heel. PM- Conditioning program for Frank including side steps. With little Oreo I worked on stand, back leg and front leg targets and backing up. His leg seems better which is great. Hope everyone are having a good week 🙌 PS: I accidentally posted day 38 to our face to face class group. They would have been wondering what I’m on about 🤣

Day 24 - Lyon
This week has been draining with the unusual temps. I haven't done any official training again but Lyon joined me and my niece on a walk which was a lovely test of his ability to stay connected without input. He got 10/10 for that. We went to a Cafe for lunch after. I would usually leave dog in the car but I had to bring him in because there was no shade. It was less training and more of an expectation of behaviour. "Short lead, sit there, no mucking around" on the whole he was good but he is bad for lead biting in those types of situations.🙄 he seems to have turned lead biting, and my constant removal of the lead from his mouth, or angling the lead so he can't get it. into a game. I never give up but neither does he. Anyway he was OK, there were moments of calm but on the whole it was an exciting experience for him.

Naww bless him. A little cafe dog. Please keep us updated about lead biting. I have a retriever x in the class who does it a lot and I’m bit lost with him. I’ve just been exchanging for a toy but that’s kind of rewarding the attention seeking.
Day 39 - side steps and Rally
Worked some more side steps. Such a happy little tails haha. Added forward and back movement for Frank. I used to do the box move heaps as a warm up for hoopers. Lunch time we trained some Rally signs. I am also not a big fan of AI but Jo Rosie shared her training planner prompts in her group so I just had to make one! It’s beautiful and so useful to keep us on track! 🤩 First video has a bark warning! Frank having fomo this time 🙈

@Sally Argo I’m happy I remembered it again I used to use it a lot. Yes chat can be really annoying and all sounds the same. Even my training plans were horrible without the right prompt so I’m glad Jo shared hers. I tend to try and train everything and then get overwhelmed and nothing is done properly so I’m glad it keeps me in line 😄
Next Challenge! 🥳
Thank you so much @Fiona Austin for running the challenge this week. We thoroughly enjoyed it and will continue to work on it. Our next challenge starts 13th July and is all about scentwork indications; hover, sit, down or retrieve. You will find step by step instructions in our Premium Classroom or work at your own goals ☺️

@Sally Argo awesome! You should have full access to the videos too. I’ll work on scent detection hover indication with mine 😊
Day 36- photoshoot, conditioning challenge, Rally and scentwork
AM was beach photoshoot and this is what I got! Send help honestly 🤣 Lunch time- worked on @Fiona Austin side steps. Frank has done them before but not for a while and it’s such a great warm up exercise. Oreo’s first go. He’s ok with touch and pressure so I was quite comfortable to just guide him. We then worked on some Rally O signs. I’ve been looking for a sport both oldie and youngster can do and I think it’s a fun option. I might add it to my Sunday group class to work on together. PM- scentwork search for Frank and some indications for Oreo and lots of play 😊 Seems like a huge day but it’s all really 5min kettle training sessions. Also please excuse the state of my yard. Clearly dog training is priority over tidying up around here 🤣

@Fiona Austin yep I’ve done a bit of research and apparently it can be pretty common. His would be grade 2 so definitely can be helped without surgery. I loooooove Antinol! I’m a rep here so they have been on it from day 1 😄 I should probably take it myself 🤣

@Fiona Austin thank you lovely 🥰 When I used to work at the vets all the oldies came in for Rapigel telling me they have a horse haha Apparently it worked a treat with sore knees
