Imagine an ideal day...What does your ideal day look like?
I recently revisited this exercise for a mini-course I am reviewing and thought I would share my current answer and invite you to explore yours. Remember, there is not one right/wrong answer, this is about using your powers of imagination to create and appreciate a life you love! My perfect day begins with waking early and pain-free, then enjoying my self-love practices, including breathwork, walking, stretching, dancing, journaling, and cleaning up. Then I get to work with clients, or interview a new guest for my (Authentic Action) podcast, or do some research/learn something new. After that, I enjoy a delicious and nutritious meal, often with someone I love, and then get in another good session in "Productivityville". Ideally, I enjoy some time in the evenings to play music or watch a movie or some comedy, then do some yoga and quick gratitude journaling before getting a sound 6-7 hours of sleep. At least once a week I get to break the routines and get out of the city to play in a river, ocean, or mountain, and at least once a month I get to go somewhere new or do something I have never done before. Every season I take a couple weeks of recovery and reflection time for maintenance and adjustments. ~ZGALA, 12 19 24

My ideal day doesn’t need to have perfectly planned circumstances, but a day full of space and potential. I think of a day where all my bodies feel supported (physical, emotional, mental, energetic and spiritual) and maybe I am ebbing and flowing with social interaction and alone time. I’m enjoying all of nature’s elements in some way… a beach or bath, a crackling campfire, a bike ride with my hair blowing in the wind, a trail walk in the cool forest. I have interesting conversations with others when I do interact and I only do the things I enjoy. ❤️
Neurospiciness...
I am contemplating using the term 'Neurospicy" in some of my Authentic Action podcast and other content. I would love to know your honest thoughts and feelings about this term. I recognize it could be seen as dismissive, and at the same time I like it because it is not 'medical' and adds a lightness to my 'neurodivergent identity' feelings... I also recognize it might add confusion to an already 'muddy pond' of 'politically correct' terminology and 'person first language' (which I have a lot of mixed feelings about--many of them less than positive). I am definitely a person who feels neurospicy, although sometimes I am steeped in the exotic fragrance of vanilla too... Tell me, what thinketh you? ~ZGala

I like the term neurospicy. I think we need more ways to describe our neurological differences, and ways that feel lighter!
Are you a teacher, therapist, or coach?
I help teachers, therapists, and coaches develop and share effective tools and methods for multisensory teaching & learning so they can connect more with students and clients who need, appreciate, and value them instead of feeling frustrated and isolated because of their unique or exceptional style or circumstances.

I would love to know: What particular aspects of various teaching/learning styles appeal most and least to you? ~ZG

I like engaging content, where teacher asks for feedback and stimulates critical thinking skills in students verses lecture-like presentations. I integrate content much better when I actively engage with it!
