Nice first stream!
Good job on the first stream! On my end, I think y'all cut out as you were saying your goodbyes/wrapping up. My sympathies for having to explain the Latin name repeatedly. I do the same with mine every now and then (hint: Au Ag). I appreciated the interaction with the chat too and I'm excited to see what y'all have in store.
Nice first stream!
Howdy!
I've been following Acorn for a long time, since their/your first shorts, and I'm pumped to see this new direction. I'm a student of philosophy and a software engineer and would love to be involved in projects. Ethics, the study of morality, is one of my major pursuits and one of the findings that I'm approaching is objective morality. Should that truly be the case, it would entail the reality of objective virtues, law, and conversely, objective vices and crimes. I hope to share more in the future, because the implications are wide-reaching

@Kemble Hildreth For myself, I hope to finish a cabin that I got on some unrestricted, undeveloped land and create a homestead out there. Eventually, I hope to clear out the rest of the land and form a bit of a community there of friends. Regarding Alt-Ordo, I find myself disillusioned with the societal model. Politics merely empowers the domination, subjugation, and exploitation of the ruled by the ruling class. The ruling class is composed of government agents and the executives in giant private equity firms and banks which collude to maximize value extraction from the ruled working man. I find such a societal organization reprehenisble, disgusting, and more often than not, evil. Instead, I prefer social organizations of Fellowship, where men aim together towards a common purpose, constrained by the Good, such as escorting the Ring to Mt. Doom lol. Anyone who doesn't wish to aim together can find a fellowship that fits their purpose, constrained by morality. I think this alternate order may cohere nicely to that idea.

@Kemble Hildreth Thank you, I'm glad. I'm a belirver that partial ownership is a legal fiction, same with corporate personhood, so these publicly traded, limited liability companies are institutions of the state, and aim against the interests of the workers. On the other hand, small market garden operations who may hire farmhands, or local small-batch manufacturers, etc. when run by an owner operator can take thr form of a fellowship. However, my preferred kind of fellowship is a fraternal or mutual aid society, which used to provide the social safety nets of America, provide social/economic mobility, and deep purpose in peoples' lives. The last remaining institutions of their kind are churches, and some of them are mere shadows of their former selves. Anyways, here's to the building of an alternative order! 🍻
