As Promised its Series Week! I published the second story in my 12 story anthology about the Hollow Bean last night as a sidebar to attempting to finish LayoutCrafter! Which could reach release state as early as tomorrow! LayoutCrafter replaces Atticus and eventually Vellum in its capabilities. The Devil is in the details and looking at it with Clear eyes this morning I've already found a couple issues to fix. Argh! And i want to do a complete rewrite of the original as it was a snippet of doggerel that I finished in a very early version of the PWS Skills directly in Claude and its too short, not good enough and not enough character building or story. I don't hate it and it is a quick short read which was the original intention. They are all meant to be quick one shot reads. And as I sorted files and found more missing pieces of old works, I will never ever get caught up with my backlog of done and nearly done. Pros and Cons of Trad Publishing vs Self Publishing This gave me an interesting thought.....You only need an ISBN Code ($125 scaling down by volume) for each different type of publication (Ebook, AudioBook, Paperback, Hardbound Etc..) If you want to get into Bookstores & Libraries. But everything I'm seeing of late more authors are selling direct through their sites and at live events than through Kindle, Kobo, B&N etc... Why not instead put a QR code on the back for your own website or catalog? Or both if you have an ISBN. Remember a free ASIN from Amazon is not usable anywhere else, and if yo get an ISBN assigned by another aggregator like Direct to Digital they OWN that code and can limit your usage of it. Desperately in need of updating several websites and had this thought.

The weird thought for the day is I have become my grandparents. Both of my grandparents always had candy in their cars. One was peppermints and the other was lemon drops. My jam is Skittles, Mini Chewy Sweet Tarts, or Giant Chewy Nerds. The weird thing about my choices are very few stores have all three. Anyway.. My day job is insane right now and is draining me dry. Even with this I've written two books and a manual in the last two days. All of which need some editing before they see the light of day. The First is my test book for Book Crafter in a series. taking more time with this one because I really care about the story. I've made very few edits on the first 12 chapters and am really liking how well BookCrafter is working now. The second came from a youtube video talking about a book as an Ecosystem or connected books in the same theme. If someone is interested in the first book then you have an audience. What if you explored other topics or ideas in the same theme?
