I'm currently building the Freebie Swap Collective for October 19–23, and I thought I'd share a little of what actually goes into creating an event like this. Because from the outside, you see the finished thing. The registration page. The contributors. The freebies. The schedule. The pretty graphics. 😂 But here's what I decided BEFORE building all of that. What do I actually want people to EXPERIENCE? I didn't want this to be another event where people grab 47 freebies, disappear and never speak to anyone again. I wanted people to find collaborators. Meet potential podcast guests. Discover future bundle contributors. Make connections that continue AFTER the event. 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗱 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝗹𝘀𝗲. It's why we're hosting inside Skool. It's why there are opportunities for conversations, matchmaking and collaboration throughout the week. The experience came first. The logistics followed. And that's something I want you to remember when you're thinking about hosting your own event. Don't start with the registration page. Start with what you want to create for the people attending. The rest becomes a whole lot easier to figure out when you know THAT. So I'm curious... If you were creating your own event, what would you want people to walk away with? 👇
