Hi everyone, I’ve just had a gas inspection fail. The current system is an old back boiler behind a gas fire in the chimney. The letting agent’s engineer is recommending replacing it with a new combi boiler system, which would cost around £2,800. Recently spoke to a friend in Germany, when they are replacing boilers they use heat pump systems as its going to be compliant beyond 10 years ahead. Chat tells me that similar thing might happen in UK and is very likely. But this system is very expensive, i think there are some grants in UK for property owners. Please let me know if you have any experience with this
