Actions vs Neutral
What are some of your favorite actions to create an advantage and get into dominos? I have found that my teams generally are pretty good at using an advantage when we get it, but we have trouble creating one and we get very stagnant vs neutral. Apologies if I missed a thread on this already.

How Are You Supposed To Help The Helper in Lock Left
Hi Everyone, one thing I have found with Lock Left defense is that we are allowing a lot more downhill drives than we do in our normal man to man defense. This is due to players feeling they can't allow their matchup to drive right which I get. But if we're always denying the pass to the right...who is supposed to "Help the Helper" or help the "Bear" protecting the basket. How to solve this problem? There are so many instances where the guy who is out denying is typically supposed to "Help the Bear," but can't get there.

@Mark Cascio thanks Mark my friend was saying the same thing. Saying our foot angles are too open. I argued that if we are going to criticize them every time someone drives right then we are going to get bad, open foot angles because thatās really the only way to keep it left. But I agree with you and him that if we work on foot angles, gap help from the Tiger, we can eliminate so many downhill drives. Appreciate your time Coach. Gonna bring this back to our coaching staff and basically confirm what he was saying about the foot angles.

@Mark Cascio and donāt worry about convincing me about LL. Weāre already bought in on that. I just get nervous at times and get out of it. It was all we ran 2 seasons ago but last season it wa la our secondary defense. This season Iād like to bring it back full speed.

Hello everyone. Iām Sid Rodriguez currently JV boys basketball coach for Atascadero High school in central coast California.
