Don’t sleep on Audio
Although my focus for my Podcast has been in video formats on YouTube, I was stopped in the gym today by a fan who informed me of something. First, he told that my podcast was awesome and mentioned a retired sheriff that I had on my show a while back. I thanked him and thought about walking away to get after my workout. But something stopped me. And I turned to him with a smile. I said “did you watch the end?” He said, “I didn’t watch it.” Then informed me that he listened to it on Spotify. I totally forgot that my show was in 20+ other podcast locations. We talked for a while and I told him about the YouTube channel. He thanked me but told me he likes to listen to podcasts while he works out. I say this to remind you that podcasters are not YouTubers, but YouTubers can podcast. If you are going all in on a YouTube channel, like I did, don’t forget the podcast locations. You never know where the audience is that will be impacted by your show. Be in as many places as you can be. End of message, Atlas Aultman

Time and money
I’m spending both here and TBH, I’m not sure I need to pay SKOOL to give away what I charge others for. The community aspect of this was appealing but I’m going to reallocate my resources to something that actually brings in revenue AND team members. If you are interested in working with me to actually grow your show - I’m easy to find. I’m getting ready to close this experiment and wish you all the best of luck.

AI de-monetizing on YouTube
You may have heard, YouTube is cracking down on “AI slop” - they are taking down the ability to make money for “creators” who push 100% AI content. You are still okay to use AI thumbnails, recommended SEO, scripts and more - the example of YT’s action is with people who use AI to make slideshows that flip at the same time, use 100% AI voice, 100% AI music and a thumbnail that puts the title in the top left with the subject filling up the right side. Use one or two of these options, you’re in the clear. Use them all, you will quickly lose any ad revenue that your channel is gaining. Like the gif in this post, it’s has to look real - even if it’s not or it will lose attention and cash-flow. Your friend in podcasting, @Atlas Aultman

Quality matters
How you do one thing is how you do everything. Standard posting time is one thing that matters. WEEKLY show publishing is key. If you can publish more, do it. Just keep the quality high 🫡

Host/Studio Podcasters Unite
Need your advice on this one. In this community, a lot of us believe that being a guest on other shows is just as important as being consistent on yours. Sitting in between 2 legends, Don “The Predator” Frye and Dan “The Beast” Severn is little ole 220-pounds of me - practicing what I preach. Comparing notes on studios is also vital to growing. Good or bad, you’ll learn something that will help you level up. All of this allows you to reach new audiences and share insights. Highly recommended, but, how often should we do this? @Atlas Aultman

@Victor Akomolafe it depends. If you have the time, do as many appearances as possible. Be specific on what you want listeners to do when they hear you. Deliver value and point them back to your service, a product, or podcast.
