Take a look
Check out the videos in my classroom to see how Hiking can be beneficial to your physical and mental health. I have also added videos on Safety in the mountains and a look at what equipment help keep me safe whilst hiking. What is your go to piece of equipment that never leaves you whilst hiking or wildcamping?

Oh wow Bryan... National Parks are a great way to get into being at one with nature. I mainly head to The Lake District in the UK where there are lots of trails to follow and also lots of areas to explore with no trails.
New Classroom video
Check out the new video in my classroom where we explore all the health benefits of hiking and getting outdoors. I have also done a video on Safety and another on a few pieces of Safety equipment. Some great tips and advice if your new to hiking. All free for you to watch.

The Health Benefits of Hiking
There are lots of health benefits of hiking or just getting outdoors in general. It doesn't have to be up a mountain. Exercising releases endorphins, your body's natural happy chemicals which can counter negative feelings, boosting your mood and making you feel like something has been accomplished. Marry that feeling with a magnificent view from a mountain summit and you have the perfect combination. I have just released a new free video in my Classroom which goes into the benefits in more depth so make sure you check it out and let me know on this post what is your go to hike to release those Endorphins!

New class
Safety in the Mountains is always a priority. Planning before you go, checking weather forecasts, planning routes, putting time protocols in place with loved ones. Preparing my essential safety kit as it's always better to have an emergency piece of kit and not need it than need it and not have it! Knowing what to do in an emergency especially if I am hiking in a different Country, what are the emergency telephone numbers etc. Carrying an emergency beacon like the Garmin InReach is my go to emergency tech. All these key points in detail are in Safety in the Mountains class video.
