It’s kind of hard to find information on it, but piercings can supposedly affect the electrical flow in your body because you are pinning down the fascia. And there are lots of acupressure points in your ears (some could argue that a piercing could be positively affecting the corresponding organs/body parts but others say you could be overstimulating or interfering with that acupressure point). Plus the different metals and EMF is something I have started to think about. I was looking into it became my ear piercings bother me with certain earrings and it’s like my body wants to heal them so I’m starting to question if it’s worth it for my body to put resources toward trying to do that lol. I looove jewelry so it’s hard. Jewelry has even been my family business my whole life. For some things I feel like at this point it’s mind over matter and I still wear jewelry but now try to remember to take it off more etc. But yeah it’s been a few days of no earrings and they already feel so much better.
