Would You Join a Wearable-Based Burnout & Recovery Lab?
A lot of you already use wearables—Oura, WHOOP, Apple Watch, Garmin, Fitbit, etc. I’m exploring the idea of a vet-specific “durability lab” that uses anonymous wearable data to give you better guidance on: - Stress and recovery - Sleep quality - Burnout risk over time No spying. No “gotcha.”Just de-identified trends + simple, personal nudges to help you feel and perform better in (and out of) practice. Before I take this further, I’d love to know: If this were optional, anonymous, and actually useful… would you participate? Vote in the poll and feel free to add thoughts in the comments 👇

Yes real data for feedback! I think the veterinary audience values the importance of data more than the general public.
Welcome to the Vetspan Collective™!
👉 Here’s how to get started: 1. PLEASE introduce yourself — who you are, what you do, and one area you most want to improve. 2. Pick one tool and use it this week. 3. Hi everyone, I’m Ashley. I have been in veterinary medicine for over a decade, and after my own rounds of burnout and compassion fatigue, I am in a real season of alignment. I am learning how to protect my peace, stay connected to the parts of this work that light me up, and build a life that actually supports me. I am starting my motherhood journey next year after some challenges, so taking care of my health and energy matters more than ever. I also want to bring the skills I learn here back to the relief veterinarians I support, so they can build healthier and more sustainable careers too. I am glad to be here and excited to learn with all of you

📍 Meet-Ups: Where in the Vet World Will You Be?
One of the best parts of the Collective is that we’re not just here to learn — we’re here to connect. And sometimes… those connections happen beyond the keyboard. This thread is for all things Meet-Up: ✅ Conferences you’re attending ✅ Local or regional events ✅ Speaking gigs ✅ Virtual hangouts you’d love to see inside the community ✅ “Hey, I’ll be in [city] — want to grab a coffee?” posts If you’re headed somewhere this season, drop it in the comments! And if you’d like to host a virtual meet-up here in the virtual community, comment or DM me — I’m happy to help schedule and post it on our community calendar. Let’s make this profession feel a little smaller and a whole lot more connected.

Yea I also arrive late at like 10:30p on the 16th.
Happy New Year!
How did you close out 2025? What are your plans for 2026? What are you going to do DIFFERENTLY in 2026 than 2025? I'll start. I'm happy to report that just a week or so ago I was able to bend my thumb enough to write again (after a bike mishap that led to breaking it!). That means I can get back to one of my biggest stress relievers and paths to personal success ----- journaling! Anyone else out there journal regularly?
Happy New Year!

I closed out 2025 with my friends and family! We spent part of the evening setting intentions (not resolutions) and then writing down the steps towards some of the goals. I’m excited to grow and stretch in all ways in 2026! The “stretching” can sometimes be uncomfortable in the moment but I’m excited for exponential results in 2026
