Hey Everyone 👋🏻 I'm Ashfaq Kamil, a 25-year-old from Sri Lanka currently based in Dubai, UAE. I wanted to share a bit about my journey and passion with this community of like-minded individuals. 🔹 Background: In Sri Lanka, I explored the traditional 9-5 jobs with several companies, but it never felt right for me. Seeking a change and new opportunities, I moved to Dubai on a tourist visa. Despite my efforts to find a role that resonated with my passion, I couldn't find the right fit. 🔹 Experience: As my visa was nearing expiration, I took up a merchandiser role at one of Dubai's biggest supermarkets. While it was a stable job, I found myself stuck in the 9-5 routine and longing for more. Over the past 4-5 years, I tried different ways to make money online. I tried dropshipping, doing freelance work on Upwork and Fiverr, and even learning about social media marketing. These things didn't work out for me, but I learned a lot from them. 🔹 Finding My Way: After working as a merchandiser for 6 months, I decided I wanted to do something else. I didn't want to go back to a 9-5 job. So, I started looking for other jobs and found one as an appointment setter for a client in the UK. And just a week later, I got another appointment setter job from Canada. 🔹 What I Do Now: Now, I work as an appointment setter. I help businesses set up meetings with people who might be interested in what they offer. I also want to help people who are selling online courses or coaching programs. 🔹 Why I'm Here: I've decided that I don't want to work a 9-5 job anymore. I'm here to learn from all of you and share what I know. I believe that by helping each other, we can all achieve our goals of having more freedom in our lives.
