In this video I share the real story behind A Woman in Progress, one of the pillars everything I do is built on. It started in 2017 with a question a dear friend asked me: how had I built the environment, the support, and the community that let me actually become who I was becoming? Then she asked if I could build that same space for women like her. I said yes before I even knew what I was saying yes to — and this is where that yes has led. From 15 women in a room at a boutique hotel in Port Elizabeth, to Women’s Day events year after year, to being forced online in 2020, to finally going global on Skool in 2026 — A Woman in Progress has grown into so much more than a community. It’s a family. There’s no gatekeeping here. You don’t have to have it all figured out to belong.
